VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Dr. Amana, Sexual Therapist [v2.0.0P] [Ianvs]

The characters are so well developed. And the renders are really great. It's not often that the character is so likable. I recommend it, especially for those who like feelings being part of a H-game. Also all girls have pretty different personalities without being clichés and are pretty but not bimbo like, which is a fresh change. To finish, I have to highlight that for a VN game, there is a lot of choices to make; and they have different consequences, not just a slight difference in the dialogues.

It's criminal that this dev doesn't have 4x the followers on Patreon. DAST has, hands down, the best natural dialogue and organic, believable narrative of all the drama-based erotic games on this site. With the work getting progressively better, I can imagine the narrative potentially standing up to some of Telltale Games best writing by the end of development, especially considering that early chapters might get a rework. That's a high bar though, so we'll have to wait and see. With the current 2.0 stand-alone build, the dev's also created (arguably) the hottest sex scene in a VN, though of course, mileage may vary depending on your whims.

As for renders, it's rare to find a Das3d game where the models' subtle facial expressions show real, emotional impact. Most games feature overwrought expressions and dead-fish cadaver eyes on porn-star clone faces, swimming downriver of uncanny valley, big fake tits in tow.

Though the early characters (Dr Amana, Japanese Co-Worker) occasionally fell victim to this dead-eye stare (as do virtually all Das3d games, DIK included), the developer has managed to leap past this hurdle with some stunning results, especially with the latest chapter featuring Cassie. It really feels as if there is something going on behind the eyes in these latest 2.0 renders, as well as in the later renders of build 1.1.5. Very hard to achieve in a render system like Das3D, but RomanHume has managed to do it very well.

Be warned, play version 1.1.5 first, which is available below the current 2.0 build. The old content will be modified, recoded and merged back in at a later date, but is currently separate from the new chapter due to a change-up in the dev team. The new content won't make sense without playing the old build first. Rest assured though, the quality keeps getting better and better, even if it's now a solo effort. This dev has got some real talent and puts an astounding amount of time and care into crafting this game.

Interesting well-rounded characters, great writing. A plot that is not an insult to our intelligence for a very welcome change.

Just finished playing chapter 3 (Cassey). The buildup is among the best, if not the best, on this site. INTENSE is the word.

Try it and I guarantee you'll be throwing Benjamins at the screen.

WOW! After the long and drawn out story from the earlier episodes, I just about gave up on this story/game. However, your patience will be rewarded in spades with this episode. Not heavy on animation....in fact, I'm not sure if there were any, but this was one of the most erotic episodes I've encountered on this site. I am now anxious to see what happens next!

Characters are well written and interesting, the overall story is compelling, the non linear narrative structure is sure original, but...

You really can get the girl if you behave, like, you know.. a human behing.

The only way you get to scenes is to be all the time an asshole.

Now, this is realistic. That's actually the type of man women want. But it makes the playthrough not very fun at all.

At least there should be women who are impressed by mr nice and women who want the asshole. It would let the player have an agency apart from just click for the most obnoxious dialog option every time.

Some what believable story,. Which is amazing for this genie. Great game. really two hundred characters to leave review. i thought the therapy session allowing you to somewhat pick what girl to move forward with was rather unique. Be nice to see him flesh that out to the point of avoiding content all together.

Ngl, came for the blonde girl from the pics, stayed for the plot. Really liked the story of the game. That corporate politics and all the things which were going through the other girl's lives was very interesting. The pacing was good too. The game didn't move slowly or moved too fast for my liking. There are already quite a few characters but so far it isn't a mess which is very good and efficient. The art is really good as well. Can't wait to play more.
Certainly a game which makes you play it a few times. All the best to the dev for the future content.

I like this game a lot.
The plot is engaging and fairly original (on the business side that is), and promises a lot of possible content.
It's too early to tell what the balance will be with the girls at home, the maid and the wife, but there too there is a wide array of possibilities.
I do like the dom-sub dynamic a lot, as kinks go, so seeing this reflected in the main plot is interesting... I'll wait to see how that carries over in the MC's home life... (I'll throw it out there...it would be interesting to see his wife become a cucquean..that seems to be a fairly unexplored kink, at least, done well)
the graphic style is definitely up my alley, although I must say the actual sex is, maybe, a bit ...dry..the actual penetration shots are a bit of a let down, visually speaking..
that said, I enjoy the plot and can only hope it keeps up the standard of writing, the pace and goes that it goes towards a satisfying evolution, instead of writing itself into a corner.

You know the feeling when you're watching a great TV series and then after the season's final episode you feel sad because it's over and you need to wait until the next season starts?

Well, that's exactly how I felt after I finished this update (v1.1.5)... Holy fucksticks this game is good! I just discovered it two days ago but it's definitely in my all time top 3, together with 'Light of my Life' and 'Areas of Gray'.

God, why are all the good games never finished...?

I wanted to say something about the top-notch writing and how the story really sets itself apart from other games, but I doubt I could explain it better than fitgirlbestgirl two posts below this one.

Two minor things that could be improved in my opinion:

• The game is set in a therapist office, but apart from the first scene the therapist plays no role in the game. It woud be nice if she at least comments on what you're telling her, for example with a short conversation between the MC and the therapist after each scene.
• The lewd scenes are pretty hot, but they could be better. I think the dev should choose between either smooth animations or no animations at all. I'm not a big fan of the 'stop-motion' animations.

Doctor Amana: Sexual Therapist is a story following the life of the Protagonist as it falls apart; and he tells his story to his therapist, Doctor Amana. This game and its story will appeal to people who want a quick "wham bam thank you ma'am" entry into the sex scenes, but falls short in overall character development and structure. The Story has at this point in time also been spit into 2 parts, 1.1.5 and 2.00 with a lazy "What did you do in chapter 1" transfer Menu method between the first part and the second part instead of Save compatibility between the first and second parts (If this changes I will change my review).

STORY: 4/10 (exists but not very engaging)
Graphics: 7/10 - This is improving (Second Chapter had better graphics but in playing chaper 1.1.5 again I realised how grainy some renders were, specifically backgrounds, the Character Models are good).
Programming and Playability: 3/10 (No save compatibility between first and second chapters and menu system for some of the sex scenes was a bit of a waste of time as there were not that many choices that couldn't be covered by a normal choice menu)

This game should have the incest tag, since one of the LI's is the MC's totally-not-daughter.

I usually can ignore a lackluster story but one thing I have difficulty tolerating is forced drama, and this game has a lot of it. It's one of those unfortunate cases where a porn game takes itself too seriously.

I'm not a big fan of the characters, with the one notable exception being the cutthroat Japanese lady. It would have been great if her character model actually looked like a classic Japanese beauty instead of just generic Asian.

I turned off the trans option but the trans character still appeared.

I don't think I'll be coming back to this one, there are too many deep-rooted problems with the story that are unlikely to change.

This game is a testament to what good writing can do for a game. Don't get me wrong, the renders, animations, and even the music are great, but it's the writing that makes the game shine so bright. The dialogues flow completely naturally, the characters feel distinct and believable, like they actually have an identity.

I often criticize games for boring me by being "too vanilla," but I've realized that it isn't necessarily just that I want to see more niche and kinky sex acts, it's also that most devs don't have the writing skills to make something as simple as a kiss interesting or erotic, so they have to titillate in other ways.

The scene of Amanda's first kiss is so well written, so well-paced that the payoff of the kiss feels more satisfying than any cumshot in a lesser game. And that is just one of many great scenes.

This is my first review on pretty much anything, i am not really the kind of person to do a review. The reason why i do not is because i don't want to influence or be influenced by other people to enjoy something. But i feel if i do not leave a review here i would be doing a diservice to the developer/writer that has obviously put their heart and soul into this, at least on a creative basis. And creative things such as this that touch my heart i feel i must.
From the first passage i started to read, i knew that i was reading something truly intellectual, as i progressed, i began to realise that the writing and imagination comes from someone either who has heavily researched or has felt the true ordeal that life comes with, either way the commitment is above and beyond commendable. And not in an incompehensible way, in fact BS aside, i have adhd and a little on the autism spectrum, so its a little more challenging for me to soak up or feel anything from erotic visual games. You can see first hand the experience, love, passion, the pain of life and loss and the hurt that entails. It really blew me away, so i thank you in the sincerest way.
The renders are beautiful, the animations are good. And the ladies are sexy af. Not the best i have seen admittedly but the writing more than makes up for it believe me. I was even touched by the way the music envoloped each situation in a real and meaningful way.

I have ran out of superlatives but i want to say thank you.

One of the best adult VN games that I played.

The writing and dialogue are entertaining and feel believable. The story is presented in the form of separate consecutive memory events with a great cast of characters and consists of choosing a variety of a love/respectful or corruption/dominant dialogue choices which influence the progression of the characters. The visuals are very eye-pleasing with great distinctly designed characters, good set pieces, and plenty of well made intimate and sex scenes.

The game also features a useful UI for tracking various information and completely optional kinks such as pregnancy, NTR, and trans.

This game became one of my favorites on this site. Great story with an interesting approach, with each one of the MC's lovers having their chapters in a menu. The characters models are great, as well as the sex scenes so far.

It has two main paths for you to follow with each one of the lovers: the blue one (gentleman) and the red one (horny bastard). Except for the wife character, the red one seems the most rewarding so far regarding naughty scenes (blue one = blue balls? lol), but I believe this is part of the slow romantic build-up that the dev is planning for the future for each character, but I'm hoping for plenty of sex scenes for both paths.

Nice touch the options to lock some content that not everybody likes as well (pregnancy, NTR, trans characters).

Anyway, looking forward to this game getting more (and hopefully more frequent) updates in the future.

Amazing story told so well... congratulations to IANVS for creating such a compelling and intiguing story. Dr Amana may not feature past the prologue but it is a genius method of setting the scene by the promise of tradegy, followed by allowing the player to choose how "hard" they want to play the game [by selecting/deselecting] the kinks; brilliant concept! The plot is immersively told and each decision [so many!] pushes buttons. Fabulous game and so looking forward to the next instalment. Excellent game 5/5.

It's definitely a good game, mostly due to the likeable girls. There's also a pretty rare fetish, pregnancy. I'm curious how it will be implemented in the game, the story hasn't progressed this far yet (I got a message that I got a girl pregnant but that was all).
I also like that the face of the MC is rarely shown, makes it easier to feel I'm the one in the story.
The story itself is about remembering events which concern corporate intrigue and also about the interactions with the girls.
I wish some of the sex scenes were longer, some are really good and that makes you wish they were all like that.
I'll be keeping an eye on this game and I recommend it to everyone.

The renders are good and the story is engaging. I really appreciate being able to turn off the undesired content and have it seem gone (some other games cut out specific scenes, but it feels like the content remains). The sex scenes are a little slow coming especially in the good guy path, but hopefulyl as the game is completed those will be worth the wait.

There isn't much I can complain about when it comes to this game. I think it is well made and really takes care to allow each player to tailor their game to how they want it to be. There are many avoidable LI's so you can choose to pursue ones you are attracted to and there are so many different ones to choose from. I can say that there is most likely a girl for everyone and the game isn't shy about allowing you to customize this. You can choose what kinks you want enabled allowing for crisp and clean game play.

There are 2 major issues I currently have with the game. There are awful sound bugs at a few parts of the story where to sound freaks out. This is in-game sound mind you and it goes away if you turn of the sound in the options. The second issue is that some of the scenes are buggy and open a window within the game showing the scene. That renders the scene pretty unwatchable and is pretty weird that it is still in game several updates after it was originally added.

Besides the bugs, the writing is pretty impressive and the renders are acceptable. I can clearly see the renders at the start of the game were far worse than the ones towards the current versions so I suppose that it is good to see improvement. I think this game certainly is one to watch out for I would definitely recommend trying it. With the bugs, I don't think this game can realistically be a 5 but it is about as close as can be.

It is a great game. Sorytelling narrative during sessions with psychologist is something fresh. I like when I can choose how things happaned in the past. Choices matters and you can customize kinks in settings so you can change things for what you prefer. Girls look similar with real life so not everybody supermodell but they are mostly pretty. It was also fresh for me couse I did different choices instead of I want sleep with everbody.
