I didn't mean to say that version 1.8.0 is out on kemono and you couldn't see it or something lol

NVM i found it. Start below main area, take the door on the left. Go down left and survive the jump trap to get the garden key. Then go back up into the main hall and take the first door on the bottom right after the big double doors.

1.6.0 was the end of the required to win gameplay everything beyond that is optional content.

Isn't the ending you get a "normal" or "bad" ending though? It even says that the true ending will be worked on. That could be debatably "optional" but also could be considered not at the same time.

v1.8.0 is released on the Patreon. Not obtainable here as of yet. That one has the Garden area, not sure if it also has the final secret in it yet or if it will be in the next (and last) update.
