There are very few patreons and dev is quite straight forward about this being a mere hobby project. Consequently, progress takes time.7 months, no updates....not a good sign.
on there subscribestar thing they seemed to do one update a yearso dead or no?
Might as well consider it dead. It took about half a year to write Chapter 5, and that was supposedly completed in May. No telling how long the renders will take, especially since there's "unrelated ecchi scenes", which I take to mean more of the pointless anime waifu filler scenes. Probably could've been done by now if Shli put more focus on the characters that are actually part of the story and less time on what probably should've been a separate Patreon side hustle.so dead or no?
Its not, the dev is only very busy with his real life job and famalyMarked aboned.
The dev's reasons and intent isn't the standard for the Abandoned prefix though. To quote from the Game Uploading Rules thread:Its not, the dev is only very busy with his real life job and famaly
It's for utility purposes, it's not a personal judgement. There may very well be a perfectly legitimate reason the dev is taking a long time to update, and they might have the purest of intentions. If the dev releases an update or something, cool, it'll be removed. This is simply a standard that is set to inform people that there has been no progress on a project for a long time, and such cases are far more often than not likely to not receive further updates. There are many, many games out there that will forever remain unfinished. (Again, I'm not saying that's necessarily the case here, it simply meets the criteria for the prefix.)3. Prefixes
- On-hold: used for a developer who temporarily stops working on a game for whatever reason and makes a clear public statement about it, if they do not resume work in 6 months the prefix is changed to Abandoned.
- Abandoned: used in the following cases:
- The developer states that the development has been permanently suspended.
- After 3 months of inactivity from the developer's public creator/crowdfunding accounts (Patreon, SS, etc), we will resolve special circumstances or scenarios on a case-by-case basis (no creator accounts, creators developing for free, Patreon accounts under review/ban).
- No game update has been released for an abnormally long period of time (>18 months).
- Game threads that are marked On-hold for over 6 months with no game update.
- Note: this prefix is only removed upon the release of a new update for purchase/download.
