Google is shockingly accurate, but the price is steep. Stay logged in, and Google tracks your every move (searches are only a fraction of that information it gathers). In return, Google knows that when you type in "Motherless", you're looking for the questionable porn site as obscure as it may be to the masses. After a few years, its "I'm feeling lucky" button works with 90% accuracy ... who knows what they do with all that data to make billions of dollars with it.Well damn, look at google doing its work for once.
Recently, Google has been toggling search results and pushing websites they consider to be shady, hate-speech, or fake-news, lower in the search results, including a lot of mainstream sites (right-leaning, as well as left) that are pretty pissed off because it's a major blow to ad revenue. A year ago, I could enter "/weg/" on Google and it knew what I meant. Now it doesn't show my prefered result, period. I mean, yeah, it's a cesspit and all, but maybe I like swimming in filth occasionally. Don't filter me, bro.
