Hey everyone!
First Dev Update of the year!
The holidays messed up the post timings, but it's back on track now.
So, a new year is upon us. A new year, new opportunities? I think yes!
2017 was a really crazy year for me. I'd never would have thought this would happen, that DoD would 'blow up' and that so many of you would enjoy my game and. This has truly been a turning point in my life, and for that I'm forever thankful to you guys.
2018 is going to be a big year for Lewdlab, in many ways.
I've been secretly conjuring up ideas, fleshing out concepts and planning for what is to come. DoD is soon coming to an end with a huge finale that is going to be worthy of the game, so naturally I'm already planning the next move.
It's going to be a much bigger, more ambitious project than Dreams of Desire. I've had this idea for a long time now, but you know me, I keep things a secret until they are sure. So the next project is going to have a more open format, meaning you'll get to do tons of things, anytime you want, and the game's progression won't be linear like in DoD, but it will depend on you.
With that said, I don't want to create a grind fest or anything similar. So you don't have to worry about that. It's going to be a different game, and hopefully, an even better one.
Now some other stuff. As it turns out, a new year means new PC hardware. I've been working with a fualty motherboard for a while now apparently. It didn't cause too much trouble, but it was annoying enough to influence workflow. So a the Lewdstation has gotten a new motherboard and a new CPU, and also increased the RAM (I've been running out of it lately)
But that didn't go so smooth (new chipset problems), so I spent the weekend troubleshooting and getting the new system up and running. I managed to deal with the problem and now it's working like a charm. Hopefully it stays this way (fingers crossed)
I also couldn't just quite do the Q&A - or AMA on reddit, rather - yet. But I was thinking next week on Thursday (18th) would be a good time.
I'll give you the specifics during this week.
I'll go into more detail on EP10 in next week's Dev Update. Release dates below:
EP 10 Early Access Elite version: January 27th
EP 10 General Release: January 30th

Talking about new projects always makes me wary, the people who create these types of games very often get sidetracked into new things because they're learning as they go and it gets boring having to complete something when your random spikes of energy are dragged in a different direction

He's doing an open sandbox-style game, too, and I think people don't really know what they're getting into when they start one of those up. Nonstop bugs as shit breaks in ways you never thought possible, production delays as you try to both fix old content and make new content, and increasingly grumpy players as they demand the ability to fuck Random Extras #315 and 487. There's still a good market for compelling linear narratives in this genre.

new project from lewdlab much bigger and more ambitious? I would love to see a crazy dream scenario game like holiday island from a big dev. Never was a big fan of the premisse of dreams of desire with the spell, when it was downplayed and you stopped molesting girls when they sleep the game got ten times better
Well to be fair the game is going to be coming to a close within the next 5 months or so. Its good to have the foundations set for when DoD does end (sadly). Sin has the resources and the talent to deliver quality content so until the first demo of his new game drops I just hope its enjoyable.

Without a doubt, everything Sin will do for the New Game will be simply fantastic, the proof is here before our eyes, Dreams of Desire is one of the best game I've played

Until now we had no Tracy action, just little things not serious action... By that I mean all sorts of sex with her, If DOD is going to end...
At least just please I beg of you Sin and Lewdlab, make a solo game going 100% all out dedicated to Tracy. Just please DO IT! Don't kill my dream woman... :'( I just hope you read this!
