Greetings guys,
First post here but I have been a long time follower of this forum, its threads and many of the games. After the Christmas Special on DoD I wanted to share a few thoughts on the game's story.
So playing the Special got me thinking. Tracy really loves the MC right? The whole backstory that was given plus the fireplace scene made me think I had totally misunderstood her as an evil bitch. That's when I started connecting a few more pieces... Alice got essentially brainwashed during the party, Mom got seriously messed up during the dream invasions plus the whole husband thing that has her unstable, but Tracey really has no reason to be that much attracted to the MC (other than her being a natural slut...) Or does she? What if, just bear with me, what if Tracey became a Walker that was able to see the memories of the Prophet's sister? That would explain her tendencies, since she is pretty much the Prophet's sister's reincarnation. But that would also explain a lot more. The prophet's sister had a shard, which means Tracey must have gotten one same way the MC did, through her first memory-dream. And now the backstory unfolds in an interesting way. The organization found Tracey, they got to her and they have her under their bidding. Her crystal was probably taken from her as well (which would explain why MC had difficulty manupulating her but still could, as opposed to the organization's bitch with the shard that was totally immune). Tracey uses Jenna to get Alice to safety as incidents are about to unfold and she tries to find a way out of the organization's claws. And that's when she realizes that is she is the prophet's sister, maybe MC can become the prophet. So she messes with MC's PC and the rest is history. Basically the more I thought about it, the more Tracey appeared to be silently asking the MC for help rather than being evil towards him.
Sidenote: I will go ahead and call this now, Abby is with the organization and tasked to keep an eye on Tracey.
What are your thoughts?
