Man of the House is an excellent game. I haven't played BB (although I am considering it because of how much of a fuss people throw over it) so I can't compare the two but I definitely recommend Man of the House, especially if you like DMD but wish you could do more with the daughter. The younger sis, Ashley, from MotH is very similar in appearance, but much more adventurous sexually.

What is the specific error you are getting?

When running Ren'py games on Mac, failing to open usually means either you need to bypass the developer signing requirement (by using right-click then Open) or the application wasn't set with the correct permissions, which can be fixed with a couple of Terminal commands. Or you can download the Ren'py SDK and load the game as a project from within that (which lets you run any Ren'py game, even if the author only released a Windows version).
