Overview:
Dreams of Desire is an interactive adult Visual Novel - A story about power, corruption and mystery.

You play as a male protagonist.
Due to unfortunate circumstances, it looks like he is forced to go to a military academy.
Our hero however, has other ideas. He never wanted to be a soldier. As things start to look inevitable, he stumbles upon an old book about the ways of the mind.

Tried downloading this game and when i immediately went to extract the .zip file my anti-virus red flagged these .exe files , idk if these are rootkits are what but they are meant to execute on your system upon opening up this game, this need some serious looking into , anyone who has downloaded this game and wasn't aware of this might want to reevaluate their system ASAP!

False positive, happens with a lot of Ren'Py games.

I know they are safe since, well, they are the ones I shared.

I'm sorry about this but no one can help you with out more info to go on.
Computer spec is the #1 thing players need and the crash report that got gen up inside the game folder.

Specs shouldn't be a problem as I have already played it till episode 10

Inside the folder where the game is should be a txt file called 'traceback' that will have the details. Post it inside a spoiler and someone might be able to help you out.

there is no traceback report
when I open the game it shows "Dreams of Desire.exe not responding"

The one posted on F95 is just a mirror for when Lewdpatcher goes down or is inaccessible, which it is from time to time.

So, it seems we might have made a mistake when updating this thread with the GOG/Steam Definitive Edition and forgot that the Steam version of this (and Midnight Paradise) are only the Extra version and not the Elite version. So, the Steam/GOG version is missing the elite scenes from the gallery.

I went and dug around for a bit and got the elite links back. Now, the GOG/Steam DE version is v1.03 and is newer and has all the fixes while the Elite v1.0 doesn't, but I'm sure it's fine and the key thing you now have the elite version back. I will be updating both with the newest compressed versions for both.
