From what I remember from some article the House Party devs have made a ton more from the limited time they've been on Steam than their entire time on Patreon.

I get that it is a risk for the devs, but yeah I would say if the plan is to gain as much money as possible the goal should probably be trying to get on steam or similar services.

Or hell like the other guy said Patreon could just make a dedicated 18+ sub-site and bypass all this.

this still doesn't resolve the restriction of content.. patreon isn't banning porn games just questionable ones

So if they do get serious and say screw you adult section(which if you actually look at the new terms and conditions, they want to get rid of a hell of a lot more than edgy porn games)they're basically going to bankrupt themselves.

If you actually look at the new terms they put out the other day there are lines that say no content creator may receive patreon funds in exchange for pornographic content or sexual favors, so yeah they are gonna have some serious backtracking to do I guess.

Lastly, you cannot sell pornographic material or arrange sexual service(s) as a reward for your patrons. You can’t use Patreon to raise funds in order to produce pornographic material such as maintaining a website, funding the production of movies, or providing a private webcam session.

That is literally the whole adult section of patreon they are talking about essentially, not just incest and beast games.

i think the decision they are makind is, whats better losing a lot of porn patreons or the legal fees and public backlash

Honestly steam(or gog, or humble for that matter) could just kill patreon off in one fell swoop today if they wanted to just by actually opening up a true adult section without censorship and allowing early access for their games. And patreon would be absolutely screwed in minutes.

A lot of these devs could just charge a one time fee of 15 or 20 dollars for early access and achieve similar or better results due to a bigger market.

It won't ever happen, but yeah that'd be the simple solution to all this.

gog wouldn´t go down that road, bc they´re a polish based company and the polish are deeply conservative religious people. The outrage, sooner or later, would kill gog

Hey! I got a response from Patreon. They specified which further changes I need to make. I did the changes, so now we only have to wait for them to review it then it's good to go. I hope they do it as soon as possible. Again, thank you for your patience and kind messages, I'm going to get a more detailed post out once the page is unsuspended.
