Capital O (shift key + o) opens the console once that functionality is enabled. The esc key will close the console once you are done.
I recommend unren.bat if you are going to to to the trouble of enabling the console.
You must be registered to see the links
Start the game up once, then quit once you hit the menu screen. Then place unren.bat inside the DoD folder, run unren.bat and choose option 9. This will incidentally make the CG art in the game magically appear in the game folder for later, um, studying yeah let's say that...
