Well, can't someone who is a Patreon ask the dev to release it early, or is the changes required before he can release it on Patreon? Regarding the family name, first he doesn't have to change it as there are are a lot of people that are not related that have the same name and second it wouldn't make a difference once it is declared that they are not related. I don't remember seeing any usage of family name, unless this means that such usage will become mandatory. If that is the case it would become annoying having to be constantly reminded of them.

when the new episode is released, it's probably possible for someone (who is in the slightest bit competent with code) to modify the characters' names to what it was like originally...Dr. Sin can release the version to satisfy the regulations, but we can still modify the content to our desire, right?

Dr. Sin is also calming everyone down on Discord, telling us not to worry and just to wait. He has plans that he won't/can't talk about.
I dont think releasing it early is gonna cut it....even if he releases it on the 26th like it was planned, he is still gonna be expected to pull the links down to modify the game to patreons retarded standards anyway....patreon will more than likely not allow the game to be linked until the game is modified.

That is precisely what I think is going to happen. DrSin definitely has a plan up his sleeve which is why he's zen about the whole situation.

It's probably going to be like BB. There was an xml file available after he had removed familial refrences and replaced them with landlady and roomies.
