You know, I still think Alice is still my favorite character but I'll give you that yeah, Tracy is very well written... like the best written one among the characters. Like from a character that I can barely be bothered to choose any choices related to her to suddenly being very interested the scenes shes in.
Will be interesting to learn what realy happen with Tracy-how she get the shard, how she learn about the stuff, what happen with her friend Lisa, did she knows some detective like Sherlock Holmes:)

Weighing in on this a bit, here:

So, pretty much all of the characters in the game are collections of tropes. Not that tropes are always a bad thing, but just about each character conforms to some kind of cliche, commonly used archetype. It's just that a few break out of that mold and develop a little more depth, and some... kind of don't.

Thing is, with, say, Alice... I like her well enough, but when the spotlight's on her, there's little to her other than "the naive ingenue who looks to the significant male figure in her life to teach her the oh-so-scary 'ways of the world.'" (Which is a nice way of saying "She's your innocent little sister who you totally screw senseless because corrupting that innocence is hawt.") But there's not a lot going on there otherwise.

I'd say Mrs. Turner gets a little bit more character development. She's still the "hot mom" figure, which is a character template old as time, but we at least get to see other things about her, like how worried she is about her husband (despite not quite being able to stay faithful to him,) what her career interests are (since she's portrayed as basically having given up most of those aspirations for the past few years to be a stay-at-home mom,) not to mention this angle of increasingly overwhelming loneliness that comes from being a soldier's wife whose husband is always deployed/away.

But there's a reason why Tracy's my personal favorite and it's because while her initial "type" is just "The bitchy older sister," she ends up front and center as one of the driving forces behind the actual plot (such as it is.) And I guess I'm just a sucker for that whole, noble "I'm woefully ill equipped to handle this situation I find myself in, but if the choice is to risk myself or risk my even more poorly equipped family members, I choose me." And the fact that her pissiness with the Main Character is eventually shown to be less a case of "We grew to hate each other" and more "If I don't push him away he'll get into trouble, so I have to hurt him to help him," that just makes her fantastically more sympathetic. So, yeah, out of the three "main" leads (and yes, I know I'm ignoring Aunt Jenna and Abby for the time being) I find her to be the most interestingly written.

You know too bad the game is only 12 episodes.I wish we have more scenes with Latisha too.I hope we have a woman like her in next game.

So, she's a minor, name-dropped, throwaway "character."

Hrmmmm... I think I can work with that.

-----

"I thought we were going to Pizza Masters..."

"We are. I just need to stop in here for a second to-"

"But I'm hungry."

"Oh, dear God, you are such a child. Remind me, again, why I put up with you?"

"I saved you from getting a .45 caliber facelift."

"... you're never going to let me hear the end of that, are you?"

" 'Be careful,' I said. 'Don't get caught by The Order,' I said. You end up tied to a chair with a homicidal lunatic holding a gun to the back of your head."

"I said I was sorry."

" 'Sorry' doesn't put the ejected gray matter back in your skull."

"Can we just get this over with?"

"That's probably for the best."

"Anyway, you remember my friend Lisa?"

"The blonde with the bitching tits?"

"I'll remember that the next time you ask to see mine."

"... on second thought, they're not that great."

"Atta boy. I loaned her my Econ textbook, and I need it back."

"Since when do you study?"

"You are seriously starting to make me regret letting you stick your dick in me."

"Say that louder, Trace. I'm pretty sure they didn't hear you in Montana."
