I have a question before I download Brother is there any new story content in this update

as in does the story move forward from where I left off in the previous update

speaking for the Louise only players

For the Louise specific path (that I know you're on) there is one additional scene that I added, and there is a small teaser scene that will lead into Chapter 5. but essentially you can skip this update and wait for the next. The xmas scene will still be available via the game settings (extras).

(Though it does contain some nice images of Louise....)

I'm kidding, yes you can avoid the open relationship between Louise and Danielle by just not mentioning that she is bi and when the idea is floated simply refusing to go down that path.

The stuff between Cindy and Cassie should only trigger if you pursue a relationship with both.

Files in the OP are clean now, my compression was NOT affected, but my update only patch was (if you used the update only you need to redownload the full game).

I'm working on a fix for the loop, as well as a couple of others. I'll have the patched files posted here shortly.

Here is the SHA-256 checksum for the PC version of Dreams of reality (this is without my soon -to-be patched files):

Check your download (before extraction) these should match, if they do not then a 3rd party has changed the files in some way. To check this, if you have 7zip installed, right click the DreamsofReality zip file, highlight 7Zip and then CRC SHA. select SHA-256 and confirm the codes match.

This is not a 100% guarantee, it is 1 tool to confirm if the files may be safe.

Changelog (so far) for 0.4.9a:

• Variable for ch3_completed has been corrected to the new persistent one.
• Variable for ch2_completed has also been updated to the new persistent one.
• Jacob's room repeating has been corrected, you should only see that scene once.
• The sauna scene is now properly triggered when using the in-game walkthrough.
• The possibility to repeat the bedroom scene with Louise has been corrected.

If any more crop up I'll add them here, I will be making the script files available as a download soon, and then later re-build the entire game to include them.

So um about the virus, I think I downloaded the game via gofile (it is what I usually do but I dont remember 100% tbh) I just ran a full scan and got no threats detected.

It depends on your date, the virus only activates on the 29th and only if you started the game on it.

What a pain huh? Ran malwere bytes as was recommended by a lot of sources. That seems to have done the trick picked and it up. Still as you say a reset would be best ofcourse just bleh.

Checked the copy I downloaded when it come out here with Bitdefender

it came across a password-protected file, must have been the virus

deleted that copy

redownloaded it, scanned the new download, no password-protected file found, came back clean

currently scanning my system, so far so good
