huh?

Students?

Was talking about MC alt personality.

What's this students thing? (female or male?)
The quote you originally responded to was "MC has a split personality but he has no action with the LIs "

I read it as " MC has a split personality but he has no action with the LIs " (Yet)

You apparently meant it as "MC has a split personality but he has no action with the LIs"

I'm not exactly sure what you mean here. I didn't

I'm the one who asked "or is it a "yet" kinda thing"

was no yet in the comment I was quoting.

To re-frame the question: I was asking if the alt persona not doing stuff with LIs is a confirmed thing to never happen. (hence the "or is it a "yet" kinda thing" i.e. the dev hasn't said anything about it, or has said it would)

This update felt extremely slow. I don't mind talking and a slower pace, but the continuous back-and-forths are becoming a bit of a drag. It feels like we're still in the middle of the intro with not much happening at all. There are like 2-3 established characters out of a cast of 15+ in 2.5 years. The sex scene felt obligatory. Asuna is a very boring character - world champion in swordfighting, extremely smart, silver tongue, rich and influential.. is there anything she can't do?

My highlight of this update was the short wholesome scene with Isabella at the end.

Not every update needs 10 flashbacks to the time with Ingrid. She's had great influence on our duo and probably some of the plot we're going to see some day, but she's dead and I'd rather get to know the characters that are alive.

Also, just an off-comment: It feels like we were really close to getting somewhere with the green haired girl about 2 years ago. Nothing happened since then.

This is one of those hidden gems type of games I still recommend in every thread that is asking for great stories, but I'm starting to get a little unhappy with it.

First off, I want to thank you all for your support and feedback on our previous update. AMAZING feedback. The reception was somewhat mixed (more positive than negative, but still. Critiques are just as crucial as praises. If you took your time to write a good critique, you probably care about this project and want to see it improving, and I appreciate that a lot) - while most of you enjoyed it, some valid concerns were raised, and I'd like to address them with you.
About the narrative pacing: I understand why it might feel like it's slowing down. Sometimes this contrast is necessary to make the more intense moments feel earned. This feeling was probably amplified by the delays between updates (a lot more than it should've). But now that we've laid all the groundwork for the upcoming conflicts - both in the criminal underworld and the college power circles - things are about to pick up speed again (and by a lot).
For those concerned about character development: I'm not a fan of the Mary Sue stereotype. Every character has their own flaws, dreams, ambitions, concerns, traumas, strengths, and experiences. It's just a matter of time before we explore them all. (I haven't forgotten you, Ashley :( )
We're getting close to our next update, and I'll be posting some previews soon (I'd like to run another poll before that). As we've discussed, I want to improve the frequency of updates. This means they'll be shorter but released more often. Most importantly, this will help me maintain a quicker narrative pace for now.
Speaking of which, I'm really curious about your views on sandbox elements in the narrative. I know I've asked this before, but it's been quite a while, and I'd love to hear your current thoughts. How do you feel about sandbox elements in a Visual Novel?
Do you see them as just extra clicks and prefer to focus on the story? Do you enjoy sandbox elements? What about a middle ground - where you can use sandbox features for extra content and easier gameplay but can skip them if you're not in the mood?
What are your thoughts?

1. True, im from the idea that "i like porn in my porn game" and so i really dislike when devs go 3 or 6 years without a single sex scene and claim "character development before porn" if u are making a porn game is ur job as a writer to implement that in ur story, and to do it in a smooth way. This game does that, cause at first it feels like the college girls will take a long time to roll with MC, but then dev introduce 2 character and does an amazing job making the sex scenes feel great and not out of place at all... but now its like dev think is mandatory to add a sex scene every update, and of course the sex scene now felt out of place, specially cause why are they having sex there? they are suppose to not atract unwanted attention, now all the voyeurs of the zone know about them and of course they use their phone to make a video and now they are trending in pornhub...
2. I dont aggre, Asuna is a swordfighting champion but she is probably a zero when it comes to strengh, cause she is really REALLY short, we havent see other flaws on her, but dev put a 1 ton stone on this character in the physical department, so its ok to add some positive traits, i mean she is a flat gnome, give her a break.
3. Yes to no Ingrid, i mean not "too much"
4. I see ur point, but i dont know what update i will pick to say "this one, in this one i would rather see green hair" so, no.
5. Agree, hidden gem for sure.

I disagree with Asuna, while she is definitely smart and seems to have a lot of knowledge from her family she is also not that powerful as seen in some conflicts at school if the situation with the underworld and the school keep devolving she may need to cooperate with us.

Sex being a bit forced in this chapter I kinda agree, but a chapter with barely any sex scene would have made people angry, probably.

Isabella has been great, specially now that she has been more important to the plot.

Unfortunately, I feel like the delays and slower development sometimes for reasons out of his control have made the story advance slower and this latest updates although very important for the story have dumped a lot of dialogue / plot information but not that many action at least compared to previously, the combination of all this makes everything feel overall even slower.
That being said, I feel like this is just the calm before the storm, specially with how the update ended.

The dev says in his post that he will try to make them happen quicker but shorter, I hope this helps give this game a comeback because I think it deserves more love.

Asuna is most of all one thing and that is helpless, all her accolades and the power of her father means nothing when she wants to reach a goal that is not backed by her father. Like keeping some peasant girls save instead of focusing on her education and networking with people that matter. we learned already that the parents dislike the pleps so her father is surely against her friendship with them or even upset allies about their wellbeing.

You might be right. I guess I'm just slowly but surely getting tired of Asuna constantly talking on eye level to the MC. Always smug, always being overly clever, talking in riddles and never getting to the crux of the manner. Every conversation is a dance. I don't know how to express it better.

i totally get you on that, but i see it as follows. Asuna is living with sharks her whole live, she was raised to be a shark herself. Trusting someone or even being vulnerable with somebody is nothing she learned or is good at, it was in all probability discouraged by her parents and her surrounding from an early age. I'm sure she will change quite a bit once she trusts the MC but that will probably take a while.
