There are constant updates, most of the time it's something like "Wow, another month has passed and another slow segment is half finished. I need to take a break for 3 weeks now, so I'll keep you posted at a later date.", but it's there.

I find the kind of normal features on the mom to be extremely charming in combination with her sexy killer body. Not all "mother" characters need to be gorgeous model-like beauties. For example Summertime Saga's mother/Aunt/Milf characters cannot be called gorgeous either and most of them look pretty standard (Although again, some of them have really killer bodies) but due to the stylization, set-up, killer bodies, and slightly "realistic" facial structure, etc (Not being overly gorgeous like a lot of Playhome, etc characters usually tend to be) you will find the setting to be more realistic and and such be able to focus a lot more on the romance and the tabooness of the setting (And I find that to be really strong in this game for example.)
The situation with the updates tho.. I am not a patron so I don't really have the right to be upset with the slow schedule, but I can imagine that there are a lot of patrons who find it unacceptable to not get anything after paying multiple months of support.
P.S: I have seen a lot of openly incest games popping up again in Patreon, have the things changed with patreon? Is incest OK now?

Not that I know of and I bet it won't change anytime soon. Maybe it's people who think that they can stay under the radar or just wanna earn a quick buck until the page is suspended.

Ah....Summertime Saga make close of 40.000$ by month. They have a big team (Gumdrop is alone) and they didnt produced anything since 4 months too. And its already one week that they are at 96-97%. With your comment, do you mean that I am crazy or stupid to pledge Gumdrop (and 20$... really i should be dumb) ? But it probably because I find that his game is exceptional.
In my opinion, if you dont pay for it and play for free, you cannot complaint about anything. If you go to the supermarket and they offer you at each 4 months something to eat at the entrance, you will begin to scream and spit on the floor because it is free but only at each 4 months ? No, you will try it and you will not complaint, because you dont pay for it.

Summertime Saga is your go-to game to defend Dual Family? Really? Summertime Saga will have dropped 2 updates since the last Dual Family. 2 updates! The last Summertime Saga update dropped 04/16/2018, while the last Dual Family update was 03/30/2018! A 15 day difference! Summertime Saga is at 97% completion, while Dual Family is still at 55%-60% Completion at best! So, What are you gonna say now? That Summertime Saga makes close to $40,000, and they got a big team? Which is it?

Now, I'm not saying Kyle is bad but he has earned a reputation for constantly having delays.
Onto your other point: I imagine you had this happen to you at some point, you invited a friend to come to play with you a new game, that they haven't bought and never played (or vice versa). Later your friend gives or you ask them for their opinion in regards to the game. Is that opinion lacking any value in comparison to yours? Didn't both of you play the same game? Can't either of you find faults with said game? I'll leave it at that since I think you can understand, and secondly, this is a pirate site and you are in a dedicated thread for discussion of Gumdrops game, Dual Family.

And you are right about you last paragraph. Every opinion is important and need to be respected.
My only concern in my last post was more about always you know the constant bashing, always the same thing that comes back, the time between updates, and with that comes the personal attacks against the creator. So I am not agree with that type of attitude. It is just that. If we could simply be polite and respectful in our exchanges here (or on any other forums) it could be so great. Or just focus on what it is positive.
Anyway, I am sure you are able to understand my point, as many others.

I do believe that those attitudes (bashing) tend to arise due to wants and impatience from people, and certainly to fall into dissing the creator isn't productive at all, because venting your frustrations won't win you any accolades and also for the simple fact that the creator isn't present here to listen to it. Although it could bring "cohesion" with people who think alike and be viewed as a collective cathartic experience (In short is fun for some to do it :FeelsGoodMan

Dark Cookie the main developer never stop working.
1. They finally hit by Patreon's witch hunt in December 2017. Without donation, he can't pay his team. In February, all goes well after rebuild the coding for the non-incest & patch-able to incest.
2. Their main coder quit the team. The replacement had to understand the old coding & update with his own coding style. It's take tremendous time to be able to cope everything & kill all bugs related. Now it's done.
3. As other say above, with the problem they face, they've dropped 2 update in the last 6 months. And 3rd update happening soon. So even with lots of problem, 3 update gonna be delivered under 6 months.
4. Dark Cookie always active in their discord to tell the game production as well as ensuring the donation's accountability.
It is really easy to clear bad reputation or rumor. Make your own Discord channel & talk with your own backers about the game progression ... in live chat !

Tbf to Kyle, he can be pretty active in his Discord at times, either with just general chat or answering story related questions. I've only had a few talks with him but he's always been pleasant with me, even when I've been critical. However whenever someone brings up the topic of the update release schedule, all you get is the same vagueness and the old line "I try not to make a deadline for the release as I keep missing them". It has never sat well with me. He mite as well say "I have realised that I am shit at this so instead of trying to improve, I'm just not going to bother making the effort anymore" In any other line of work you would lose your job for this kind of attitude.
He's taken steps to show us what he's up to with the scene progress tracker on his website but even that only gives us an incredibly vague picture of how far along the update is. We keep hearing about how all his new PC rigs will help him chew through renders but that doesn't seem to translate into what we're seeing with regards to the length between updates. Obviously it's impossible to know for sure until the update comes out. It could be huge and the length of development be entirely justified. A lot of this is on faith and about trusting the developer and for some people on his Discord that faith/trust is absolute, to the point of attacking people with a desenting opinion. Generally speaking the story has been shaping up nicely and the updates have been worth the wait. I'm hopeful that it will be the same with Part X. As I've said multiple times on this thread though, my criticisms regarding the wait between updates would go away almost entirely if he just switched to a "Per Major Update" payment method on Patreon. I think people in general would be a lot more forgiving that way.

The thing is, we hear this constantly same bashing on and on again. Everytime from the same people. For gods sake, we understood. You know, how Kyle does his thing...why the fuck always keep repeating the same thing. It doesn´t change anything. It spams this thread completely with all the bitterness some have.

My "beef" with Dual Family is not the game itself, that comes along nicely. It is with gumdrop´s lackadaisical attitude as a developer. @Siddington is quite right, that with such an attitude at normal work, you´d be toast.
I am a freetime writer myself. I have two stories running (posted free on several sites) with the next two stories in preparation mode for when the first 2 will be finished. At the moment, the two stories are 1400+ and 300+ Din A4 pages long, so without self-boasting I can say to have written quite a bit. At first I could update once a week, but a combination of factors in normal life reduced it to about once a month since last year. I am not happy about that, but I have no choice on this. I work diligently to make the updates as fast as I can, so the readers can enjoy reading the stories. The joy of the readers and my joy creating a story is what keeps me going.
Then I see "developers/writers" like gumdrop, who boast how the story/game comes first, how his new hardware will all make faster...and what happens? It becomes a crawl, not to forget his first "progress indicator", which stood at 90+% for weeks until he had to admit that it is 50-60% finished at best. He openly lied the audience in the face several times, most of his explanations are ludicrous, since there are developers with less options and ressources delivering quality updates much faster and he gets paid for doing less.
If he lost the drive to see this game through, he should just say so, sometimes stories meet dead ends, as I writer I this well, no problem. But then the cheap money for gumdrop would stop. If he had solid explanations for his slow progress, that would be ok too, but even a 4 year old can see through the white lies gumdrop normally gives out.
Not for nothing some members spoofed his "explanations" in the vein of: "Another month over and 1 new segment is half-finished. Now since it is the birthday of Hannibal I need to take a 4 week break to celebrate this. But have no fear, since the game comes first, I will inform you later on."
Gumdrop´s messages feel like a) either he is incredibly lazy or b) he already finished the update and tries to stretch the intervals as long as possible for more milk money. He should make a message how he found the patrons he has, that would be enlightening. milking them is obviously easier than taking candy from a baby.
I am annoyed because gumdrop has talent for making games, which is why I am still looking out for DF and at the beginning gumdrop had some good update pace, but since the money started to roll, the "speed" of the updates plummeted and it is clear the money now comes first, not the game any longer.

So guys, just to change the subject a little bit and maybe have some positivism in this thread, what are the reasons why you like this game exactly ? What keep you excited with each updates and in the story ?
For myself, it is the more and more intimate relationship that is developped between MC and his mother. For sure, I am in love with the look of mother, her big fat titties and her full bush. She doesnt look like the "mom" in all the other games and even if it is not the most beautiful woman, for me it is a realism that I like a lot. The angles of view made me dream too, as the scene in the MC bedroom, when the cousin removed the clothes of MC mom on the bed, when she was asleep with her son on the bed. Anyway it was just a bit of my reasons why I like this game. So much reasons why I like Dual Family.

Well for me that's easy, the Daughter no question. I would say I am ever so slightly infatuated with her on some level and can't wait to see how she opens up in future updates. Her looks are what attracted me to this game in the first place. More than that though she just seems a sweet, intelligent and caring young woman. I've seen her apparent lack of personality criticized on here and elsewhere but I would say she just comes across as very melancholic at times due to wrestling with the same demons her Father is. Personally I would of killed to have met someone like her someone like her when I were 18...ok maybe not killed but you get my point. Shame I have to live vicariously through the mess of a human being that is the Father in this game. F/D incest is a fairly new itch for me and hopefully it'll be scratched very nicely in Part X.
For me it is the great renders and Dad-Daughter relationship. While you have to put together quite a bit of info from both MC views to get a picture of how the daughter is, there are quite some stuff to find.
The daughter shows signs of Elektra-complex right from the start, when Dad comes into her room to explain the newest strife between him and Mom. It becomes obvious that the relationship Mom-Daughter is not the best and not only since yesterday.("she should move out, not you") There are signs of it throughout the game. The Son can be at his most "assholeness", the Mom is nicer to him than the Daughter, where a more businesslike behaviour is king. It is telling that the Mom seems partly glad when the Dad-Daughter duo is off on their own.
I agree with @Siddington that the daughter is an attractive, sweet, inteligent young woman. As for the critics about her personality, as I said above, some info has to be gathered over the two storylines since the daughter is no playable MC. e.g. The son hints more than once that for all her caring and sweetness, there is a wild side to her she normally reigns in. (Beware the nice ones)
