And this is a thread for a game made by a scumbag scammer so obviously when no content is being released people will talk how the creator is a scumbag scammer. I don't get the point of posts like these, what else do you expect, or want, people to talk about here given the circumstances?

Obviously this thread needs to devote more time to discussing Kenyan Warlords and the ever continuing Crisis in the Middle-East, truly that's what we are all here for.

Just an example of how easy it is for con artists to be successful in niche markets, where people are so desperate that they prefer believing in convoluted fantasies and explanations, rather than accepting reality:

This dude has been quite aggressive with marketing. He has vanished from virtually all the sites where he has advertised it, starting shortly after he stopped doing anything.

Yet more evidence that this game has been abandoned for a long time. Whatever he puts together in the next few months (if he ever does that to begin with), I predict it will end up waking up many of these dormant patrons to the reality they have been trying to avoid for a year. I suggest current patrons read about the sunk cost fallacy:

Money is running out. If he releases anything it will end up hurting his credibility even more, so chances are he will keep stalling for as long as he can (possibly by releasing "scene demos" or some other bait put together in a few weeks). I predict the con will be over by the end of the year, with release (put together in a few months) or not.

Hah, I think this game dev is hilarious, he made a lot of bots and fake accounts, maybe even fake patrons to show that everything is going well and there are plenty of acolytes to support cause. He is head of his very personal army of dead. So funny, I could not imagine such show could take place. It's much better than this pathetic game itself.

The problem in most games here is very bad screen writing - mindweak authors create aim "sex with..." and try to make a very long way for milking patrons. It's all because that they fear that by giving what patrons want their gold mine diminishes.

Have you smelled it before? it's so similar to... Let's be clear - you are not patrons of game-building, 90% chance you are financing another cam-whore (this time prefix is "game-"). It's not bad, it just means that you are gonna run in circles until milkman decides otherwise. And you know what? You have no right to change it.

It's a little strange to me he's talking about hiring up to 10 people and future wise 10-30 with a Patreon that is on the decline...either he has extreme confidence in his product or it's just time stalling...or he's delusional. Either way, time will tell.

One problem with that, Darkcookie DOES produce work. It's slow, and I imagine there are internal issues there with the team, but we can literally watch live streams of him drawing the new content that we DO see in-game...and he does deliver something every 3-4 months typically.

Gumdrops at best has produced the mini-Christmas update to placate users...it's not very re-assuring though.

And come on, this isn't my wraith, I'm fairly level headed.
This is more of my investigative journalism side at best.

@lostraven [Open DM] I can't say for certain -- it's a fuck ton of content both story and gameplay wise so it isn't really a metric compared to past updates. I would look at something like Summertime Saga as a great example -- a chunk of time is spent exploring/searching through hub areas, which is somewhat how sections of Part X (especially the dance) will end up being. Some will cruise through that fast, others will meander. I won't put a time table on it since it could vary, but it's definitely more than twice as long as Part IX

I have one full time person in the office with me currently, one training and a third coming soon. And for something like 3D posing, I have to disagree since the bottleneck is man hours rather than capital dumped into an asset (GPUs)

There's so many aspects in development that are spread thin due to labor, so I see no problem using funds to directly address and better those parts of development

I guess the limit would be up to expense rather than management -- I'm likely not going to have 30+ people working for me.

Well, frankly, I'm not going to commit to accusing someone of a legal crime without valid evidence. Also, what do you think would happen even if I did ask? Gumdrops throws his hands in the air and goes, 'Ya got me' and I dial up with a gleeful smile some Government body and tell them "Shut it down Lance." He'll just tell me to fuck off and ban me from his discord.

You probably started with the best intentions and wanted to ask the "hard" questions, but instead you got caught up in the charm of the moment and was intimidated by it and Gumdrop started to direct the interview themselves..

That becomes clear because Gumdrop does nothing but circle around questions and making up excuses when you asked the real questions..

You have to keep in mind Gumdrops will just throw me out of the discord, I can't demand he answer anything nor do I have any evidence to throw back in his face. I'm asking him questions on his turf. It's not like a formal interview where I can really grill him, I was trying more to indirectly get information extracted so it wouldnt just result in radio silence or a 'Fuck off no more questions'. I've also got to add this was a on the fly interview, Gumdrops rarely answers me anymore in general and its not like we pre-agreed to an interview prior, so there is that.

I tried before challenging him with serious questions but he outright ignored it. I was actually surprised I got as many questions as I did, he can go ghost for days/weeks at a time. The craziest thing to me is how inactive his discord is, yet he's still making 6K cash,things just don't quite adding up.

And he's talking about a business expansion with a Patreon that's on the decline and public goodwill that's on thin ice with even the most hardcore supporters.
