A summoning bottle being one of the items in the Master Summoner room chests is kinda funny since you should have no need for those after getting all possible summons to unlock the room
Honestly, most of the things in the treasure room are useless by the time you are there already.
Assassin dagger? Assassin fights better with her bare fist, high speed and weight 5 or less (Bewitching wife dress for the +15 speed and 2 weight, the next best being the angel outfit with +10 speed and 1 weight. You can also use the Miko/Oracle outfit that gives +10 speed for 3 weight or the string underwear set, each piece giving +speed and having 1 weight).

Evil Saber and Chakram? Who will equip those, your thief who you can upgrade to an Assassin?
Unlock and Analize spell book? Do you even need them now? I think I only used Unlock once in that door in the abyss that my Assassin couldn't pry open.

Like the only useful thing there is the thief dagger to get an Asssassin if you still have a thief.

Maybe is useful for players who didn't finish the abyss.

Definitely true. Game really didn't hold back any gear to leave in that treasure room.

Honestly, not sure if it was the rebalancing they did between v1.28 and v1.35 or I just got there early/didn't dump enough strength and speed pots into my assassin. The only advantage barehanded gave was it worked on the demons immune to evil/death aligned damage of the daggers. Damage output range barehanded was spread much wider in the 60-80 str/spd range. Generally came out similar but I'd get around twice as many hits barehanded for around half the damage per hit compared to dual-wielding assassin's daggers. So magic chain+thief's gloves+covert boots+underwear+master's bracelet tended to work out for better damage output/defense. (not that I particularly needed the defense.) But yeah, assassin's by that level really can get by just fine barehanded and lightweight.

now that I think about it...you didn't really need to finish out the abyss, huh?

The advantage of higher hit count is you have more changes for extra effects to proc. This is why monk has a very easy time stunning anything they hit and assassin's death will proc more often barehanded. Martial arts potential damage is higher than weapons with max stats.

The "wife satisfaction" on dialogue when sleeping with her is based on the love status (not on the penis enlargement pills lol, but I never tested it yet). The dialogue changes to wife is satisfied only when love is at 95+ or maybe 98-100 (dialogue may vary but the tone is the same). There may be 3 different "sleeping with wife dialogue". One for High affection/love which she is satisfied with the sex, one with medium/not high enough love (This can reach up to 90-95 love. Which everytime you sleep with wife she is unsatisfied and her love meter goes down) and LOW/no love where she outright will not sleep with the MC.

The dick enlargement pills do increase the stats in the stat page of "satisfaction" but IDK if it changes the dialogue with the MC even if love is medium/low. While High love 98-100 will still give satisfaction dialogue even though the satisfaction in the stat page is 1 star over 5 lol.
There is also a "technique" or bed skill stat that can be gained when having sex with wife that can further increase the satisfaction stat. Technique can be checked in the snow village, there is a woman npc there that can see male sex stats. Credit to @Melp
To add to this, I'm 99% sure the dialogue is based on satisfaction which is most strongly correlated to her lust and your technique, then dick size (and maybe her sensitivity stat). Affection/love should be at/near 100 by the time you marry and as long as you don't piss her off by staying the night with other women or get NTR'd not much will lower it. There might be variations on "satisfied/not satisfied with higher/lower affection". But I know the premature ejaculation/cumming alone one was 100% correlated to 0-1 star satisfaction. If you want to raise her sensitivity stat, get her horny before sleeping is the easiest way to ensure she cums and it rises (seemed to be +1 per orgasm from the last H).

Another thing is that a girl cannot be removed from the party when they become the wife (they become essential same as MC and Max) so events that makes a party member go away temporarily will not occur with wife (Like WB abduction, enemies removing a party member for 1 fight, etc. [an exception to this may be the boss at the swamp of the dead that disappears your party member mid battle]). The recent acts stat list can be "cleared" by removing the party member and re adding them back (the foster recent acts for elf disappeared when I removed her from party and re added her).
Related to the wife (and probably a bug): The Love Hotel quest just requires Sandra to be in the party. Meaning you can hold off on doing the quest until after marriage and do it when you join up with Blue for the second time. This quest forcibly unequips all gear, including rings, making it possible to have asymmetric marriage rings as the game will treat whatever you equip later as the marriage ring. (And definitely a bug: you can cheese Blue forcing NTR by cutting your party size down to you, max, wife, and one other girl before doing the love hotel quest, then exclusively sleeping at the love hotel until Blue's gone. But if you change up the party again it seems to figure out what it's doing and start force-assigning the wife to Blue again).

Ahhh... yeah that's a good point. Forgot about it since it was functionally worthless (for me) as death is basically never gonna proc on a boss anyway and most everything else was either cleared out by the fatal breath item skill attack or line attack + gold coin or a mob that could be one shot by a single attack from the duel wield assassin's daggers plus master's bracelet setup. (I was actually annoyed by the death proc cus it felt like it took longer for it to go through the sound effect thing than just emptying the hit points xD)

The original thread has 1.34, a more updated translation, and the 1.37 update is freely available on the .
The problem people have is the original thread is a discussion thread while this is the "official" game thread here. Yes, there exists another thread that has a more recent version and yes, the developer website has the most up-to-date version freely available. But the game thread here doesn't mention any of that in the OP and we're 41 pages deep on this thread already.

The most intuitive solution for most users is to update the main post in this thread. (I understand the unwillingness to do this because it's being updated fairly often and quite frankly agree it shouldn't be fighting to update it every couple of days with the latest version). The next most logical thing is for the main post to explicitly call attention to "this is not the latest version. it's being updated frequently. Check here if you care or here if you don't mind searching for your own translation patch/using the JP version". (yes, OP does link to the original thread, but it is opaque about the fact there's a more recent version. So anyone coming across this thread either as their first encounter with the game on this site is either going to logically assume it's current or know it's not current and think they're being helpful by pointing that out.)

Combat is so rare and when you do get into fights enemies one shot your entire party making it pointless to even fight since they need to be alive to get experience points in the first place. Just non stop everyone getting one shotted, wasting all of my gold on reviving for it only to fail so I gotta waste even more money. JFC.
Which direction am I supposed to go for grinding? Clearly not the sewers or North or even South they're all full of one shotting enemies. Fighters are even getting destroyed. Is there a hidden difficulty option?!

Early game party (level 1-5) is so fragile, even tank build/ high stats units. It's because they do not have enough equipment/ levels to gain HP. Are you playing on free mode? If you are on story/normal mode, then the areas the game introduces you to are the way where more balanced enemies are. Combat is actually very common once you get used to the game and they usually have certain spawn points where combat is guaranteed to trigger (they can still randomly spawn when walking). Bravetown area and the forest in it is probably the safest to early level, abandoned house in brave town is the easiest early mobs. Focus on killing some enemies and leveling to get stronger. If RNG fucks you up with a shit ton of enemies that's most likely try to run (which can fail at high chances at low levels) or it's just a wipe. Usually the amount of mobs is beatable if the area is up to par with your level. Do you have full parties? The game will certainly be harder if you have fewer than max. Gold is pretty scarce early on in free mode that's why it's NOT recommended to play it if you are not familiar with the game's systems (story mode is tutorial and introduces the "correct" path so that there is an easy avenue of scaling enemies).

After you get past the early game hurdle you will start easily beating mobs and your gold will accumulate. On my other free mode run, I think I spent around 70-80% of the gold given at start reviving units because I was stubborn on not buying equipment at shop and want to just go off with what I loot (buy equipment at shop it will increase your survivability/damage).

Free mode is actually "misleading" for beginners since it starts you in the second city of the game wherein the mobs are scaled towards that. The first town has easier mobs, but you can still brute force the mobs in the second city, some of your units will probably die though.

Bravetown: 1st floor of ruins (be careful of the dragon in the back room) and the abandoned house will probably be the easiest fights
Collins Woods: (specifically the road between Bravetown and the Coastal Village, if you branch off at the crossroads you'll find harder stuff)
Landon Canyon (the map between Coastal village and Sapphire City) and the ravine are fairly easy fights, particularly if you've got poison resistance/poison cures.

Once those places aren't really doing anything for your leveling, the best place to grind is probably going to be the mountain of god until around level 20 or so. Just make sure everyone's got sleep res gear and non-magic users can hit incorporeal targets. Phantom's are worth around 2000xp each and spend most of the time trying to make you sleep (though when they do attack they damage equipment fairly regularly). Champions/basic valkyries in that area aren't too much of a threat if you've hit ~lv10 and you really only need to watch out for unicorns until you've ground up to ~lv 15 iirc.

Once you've hit lv20 at the mountain of god your gear will probably be solid enough and hp high enough you can slowly explore around to wherever else and at least notice in advance if an area will be too rough unless your first fight is getting ganked by a few dozen enemies at once leaving you no chance to run away.

Are you using items?
Using Tomahawk as an item in mid combat clears an entire row of early game enemies.
Are you using proper equipment? Early game enemies can only do physical close quarter combat so your front row guarding while you back row attack with whips, bows, boomerang, long wands, spears or any mid to long range weapon should work.
If you want a faster play, have your frontliner equip 2 weapons. Weapons have Main, Dual and Double characteristic (right click to see the description)
Main can only be equipped in the right hand.
Dual can be equipped in both hands.
Double uses both hands.

For better damage equip a Main and a Dual weapon. It's easy on frontliners since every dagger is a Dual weapon and most frontline classes can use it (only Bishop and Monk can't, the former being a frontline class is a stretch while the latter is better at fighting weaponless). In the early game you should have the Tomahawk too since it appears from a treasure chest and it's also one of the starting items from the Saphire guild premade Dwarf Smith (Frederkia)
For backrow dual weapons, thieves, hunter and assassins acn use boomerant while assassins can use chakram (late game weapon).

You can also use other items if you get lucky enough to get them like the fire/ice/black wand which respectively use a row targetting Fire, Ice and Thunder attack. Use it against enemies immune to physical attacks (the elemental ball thingy you encounter, the ice one is the earliest one you will encounter), constant use breaks them so be careful (you can still repair them).

For direction, first get the Polaris Temple quest and talk to the princess then head towards the temple.
Second, go to Seagull village and get the rescuing girls quest.
Third, get the Kobold extermination quest.

Also, if you are playing on story mode, have Theo and Riselle sleep together most of the time since her scenes are mandatory to continue the story.

From there, you can figure out most things.

Anyone else notice the author's blog has disappeared and has left with a message saying in Japanese "this page may have been moved or deleted"?

You need to have a meal they LIKE with them to start it. There's a list somewhere in the thread and the search option should help with that. Otherwise trial and error will figure them out based on her responses. IIRC if you get the item that improves interest from the opposite sex in the user that can bypass that requirement.

Pheromone Powder is what you're thinking of and yes, it should (assuming you use it on MC). Basically, all that's needed to start raising affection of the girls in the inn at night is to have something that starts gaining the affection. Meals are just the easiest/most readily accessible way to get that started. I believe locking their room at night (story mode only, magic lock, talk to girls not in your room when it's in your inventory and choose to lock it) is also a guaranteed affection bump and can make it possible to start raising affection.

Also, I believe there's still a bug that lets you spam enter and mouse clicks to take more actions on a single character than you have action points for. Basically just keep clicking their icon as fast as you can while also repeatedly hitting your confirm key (enter by default) and the game doesn't seem to catch that you've used up all your action points and bars you from speaking more. (might give the error noise but the dialogue box for the night conversation will keep popping up. I know in v1.28 I was able to get a girl from 0 to max affection in a single night with "only" 3 actions. I don't think this is patched yet)
