I just ended up downloading the Itch.io version of the game and I don't have to see this pop up anymore, if thats a workaround for you.
In my game, they sometimes are male. But female enemies seem to be the majority, with 2/3 to 3/4 of enemies being female.
This suits me just fine.
When they're low on HP, use a shackles item from your inventory. You should have about 7 of them at the start, and you can craft more from cloth scraps.
I am pretty sure room prices are in gold, not gems. Gold is obtained from throne room and from gold mines.
Note that you can upgrade your gold mines.
You can give them different equipment.
You can also command them to remove clothes through "talk" button, but it doesn't seem to work in the current version.

How do I cancel the use of an active tool? Hands, soap, etc... I want to return the normal arrow.

It works perfectly well even on the system wine-staging. I run it on Lutris with Proton GE for better performance.
I am pretty sure this button exists to cover the developer's ass in case of any lawsuits.
The knowledge library should be allocated in a separate json file so that it does not depend on a specific save. Otherwise, the meaning of accumulating knowledge disappears.
Is there a way to make it so the character you start the interaction with is the giver and the person you select afterward is the receiver? It would make more sense that way
