We know from Goblin Walker that the reason goblins started attacking is because of discrimination. Humans attacked the goblins first so they retaliated. If the humans had just left them alone, they wouldn't be pillaging the towns. The humans also seem to discriminate against all other species in general, judging from how the half-breeds and other humanoids talk about humans in the previous games.
So, possibly? I haven't played this game, yet. Gobbo could legit be trying to form connections with humans or he could be lying and trying to get revenge for his slaughtered brethren.

It's a bit weird but compared to the original one, it looks like they removed or changed a lot of bestiality scenes. Did you guys notice something too?

Edit : Ok apparently it's a "sequel" weird most of the scenes are just re-used/hd but some seem to be removed

Goblin Walker wasn't that great for what it was, and the main audience is the Japanese, who still love dungeon crawlers.
