Ok so the game is already somewhat old but I will leave this as a sort of guide for anyone who stumbles upon this game and wants a general idea of how the game works.
BTW this is not a full guide, more like tips for anyone wanting to take on the game.
This a dungeon crawler with enemy combat, the general way of going about is exploring floors collecting loot and gold while leveling up.
General tips: Whenever encountering a new enemy use the Monster Book to learn its weakness, there is physical damage and 3 different types of magic damage monsters can have magic resistance or physical damage resistance along with weaknesses to certain element types.
You can always Run from scripted encounters so if you stumble upon a boss unprepared just run away so you don't feel like saving at every suspicious room you encounter.
When running even if you fail you will not lose a turn so always try to run away if a combat seems too hard, but remember you can't run away from roaming enemies (the ones that patroll around the map going in circles)
When fighting monsters you can provoke them to have sex with the character, you can earn money this way but keep in mind it will significantly lower your exp from that combat. Monsters are divided into 4 categories when provoking them;
When provoking you will see a message regarding critical% on the message box that number is the chance of the monster leaving after provoking them to have sex.
PAY monsters have a chance to leave combat and give the party some gold when satisfied, the chances of satisfying a monster are based on the party level vs monster level these monsters are usually humanoid monsters such as goblins, giants, demons, kobolds, orcs, etc.
RETREAT monsters work the same as PAY monsters with the difference that they dont leave money when retreating, these monsters are usually beast type monsters such as dogs and horses.
UNAFFECTED monsters have no response to being provoked
ANGER monsters will get angry when provoked and deal significantly more damaged if provoked
Both PAY and RETREAT monsters will deal significantly less damage when provoked if they dont leave combat this is pretty important and I will mention why at Lilinera's section
Monsters may rape the girls on their turn, if all the girls are being raped or 2 are down while one gets raped it will result in humiliating defeat, where the girls lose conciusness while being raped and will wake up with 1 hp each.
General loot is acquired 2 ways, after fights there is a chance of a treasure chest to appear and give an item or gold, the second is opening a chest in the dungeon, keep in mind that chests respawn in the dungeon after exiting and coming back, you can have up to 20 unappraised items in your inventory. Items are divided in 3 types:
Regular equipment has no special icon and can be upgraded at the blacksmith
Important equipment is marked by a blue circle, this equipment is usually meant to help you progress through the dungeon against special bosses and enemies, this equipment cannot be upgraded.
Special equipment is marked by a blue star, this equipment usually carries extra effects like extra damage, extra healing power, HP regeneration, etc, this equipment cannot be upgraded
You should often improve your equipment at the smithy to ensure smooth progress after all the more levels the party has the more gold they can get through provoking enemies so levels should always be focused first rather than gold.
As for the party you will have 3 girls
Marianne: sort of a cleric knight, she will be your main tank and healer, uses sword and shield as weapons.
Lilinera: a mage, she will be your main magic damage dealer but she can also use support magic, uses staff and shield
Doneria: a barbarian??? she will be your main physical damage, uses two handed weapons
The strategy I used was:
In the earlier levels always use Marianne's magic out of combat when her mana is full or almost full, as you move through the dungeon you will regen mana and hp at the same rate so you will get to full mana before being at full hp, this will allow you to explore more before having to head back, at first make sure she gets the strongest armor you find, thanks to her protect allies she can take every single attack allowing the other 2 to deal the damage. Once you start to get items that increase healing drop the protect allies strategy and stop healing outside of combat, she will literally make the party unkillable provided they don't die on a single round or get a humiliating defeat as she will be able to fully heal the party with her low level spells making it almost impossible to run out of mana, but it appears that the increased healing only takes effect in combat so remember to only heal while in combat.
Lilinera should only use magic when ensuring you can take down an enemy before the round ends or when she is at full mana, if you use a spell every single turn she will run out of mana quickly and this can be a death sentence so instead provoke PAY enemies to have them either retreat from combat or lower the damage they can deal on their turn. When dealing with large groups of enemies use the ice spells that deal damage to all targets and have Marianne and Doneria take down the weakest targets to prevent humiliating defeats. Once Marianne gets healing items start to equip Lilinera with the tankiest equipment and best shield you can find, since she has the lowest hp and lowest physical resistance she tends to get one shooted often.
Lastly Doneria has a special attack called "release fighting spirit" this move will have her deal increased damage but she will take twice the damage for the turn, this move should only be used to ensure taking down an enemy or against bosses with Marianne having stacked healing items to keep her in combat. You should equip her with everything that increases damage, later on she will be able to take down most enemies in a single turn with her special even if they are resistant to physical damage.
Try and take on the dragons guarding the treasure rooms at level 10 as soon as possible, there is a healing fountaing close to the stairs to the next floor so you can heal after taking on each one, while avoiding the roaming dragons and running from ambushing monsters, in this floor you can find almost an entire set of healing for Marianee that makes the main story way easier, I personally went to clear them after beating the Horned guy from the cult (forgot their name)
Also remember if the game is too hard you can change the difficulty on settings to allow downed characters to react after being revived.
