Well if nothing else(and I assume its okay to talk about it now since the game is absolutely dead),the Dark Mind patch was popular enough that they had planned a Darker Dark Mind patch only available to their inner circle.
If you remember one specific scene which errupted in an outcry of busy bodies,despite the content already present in the Dark Mind patch,that was subsequently removed you can take a guess what that patch was supposed to contain.

Theres a few things it could have been tbh. Keep in mind I also havent played this game in a long time, so may be misremembering.

There were definetly some scenes which felt a bit too much even for the DM patch, like most of the ones with the Crazy Nurse and the one where MC acted super out of character and used someone, acted super rude/cold to them and left. But these ones i dont think were removed (even if they were i didnt enjoy the Nurse so skipped any scenes involving her).

But im almost certain that the comment you are referring to was talking about content related to the youngest daughter Yuki. If you search her name within this thread there are lots of discussions from around 2019 about some scenes involving her that people were uncomfortable with. I don't personally remember any of them, despite having used the DM patch when i played this game, so im guessing that it must have been in early builds that were subsequently removed. One comment even mentions that there was a seperate game version they couldnt be found here on F95 which seems to back this up. Imo thats a bit too far for me, so not going to bother looking into it further, but i guess if you really want to see then searching this thread using her name is probably your best bet.

Its been a long time, so I may misremembering but were the Character cards ever released/recreated? As in the ones with the illusion character data?

I vaguely remember someone ages ago posting their own attempts at recreating the characters, but that may have been a different game.

Searching this thread for "cards" mainly just shows discussions about the in game character cards that caused tons of issues/delays etc. and a few very early posts that seem to suggest that the cards were available in the past for those who were subbed to one of the stupidly expensive tiers.

wow no posts on his patreon or subscribestar yet people are still subbed to him. Rough estimate he's making 715 bucks a month on a game he hasn't updated in two years. Had to play again for nostalgia sake. Wasn't perfect but it did keep the eye on the prize while still maintaining some semblance of a story. Shallow sure, but porn games IMO should never be too serious.

He had the right stuff, just made the mistake of being too ambitious about things that weren't important. And made the even worse mistake of only listening to those that paid him.

Just to settle the discussion and bury the topic (Just as the game is buried), Ecchi Sensei was mediocre in all its sections, the only real hook that made people try it was not the giant harem without NTR, it was that you had a giant harem without NTR with l*lis, incest and... well, that, things that at the time it came out were extremely rare to see, nowadays it is much easier to find games with incest and l*lis are relatively more common see, although not in true age.

If someone thinks that Dark Mind had nothing to do with the popularity of the game, they are simply not accepting a reality. It's like saying that Palworld does not owe its popularity to the scandal with Pokemon when it is a mediocre RUST/ARK or that Fear & Hunger is not popular because of its morbidity and difficulty. They are not coincidences, they are facts.

And if someone wants to take the project into their own hands, the truth is that they can do it with complete freedom, in the end EcchiSensei as such does not even serve as a base, they have to do it from scratch, models, scenarios, everything.
As for plagiarism or theft... BlueCat would first have to come forward and confess that yes, his Patreon and Suscribstar are a scam because he is not working on the game.
