The whole rework of Week 1 was dogshit, the version is a bugridden mess that keeps bugging out for me like a motherfucker. And to top it all of, I MUST PLAY THIS BUGRIDDEN SHITTHING to get to the new stuff. I'm done with this, this is just a chore.

Your right its the DM Patch. I restarting my game to check an now I having missing images, Damn it wish I never deleted the older patch now I cant even play a restart in DM mode until a new update/fix is out lol
Been having the same problem and didn't know what was going on so , Thank you, now I know it wasn't something I did, its been driving me crazy for the last hour trying to get things to work, nothing left to do but delete and wait till its fixed I suppose..

I actually have the old DM patch for day 7, but I'm still getting the same issue unsurprisingly. The massive rework likely changes a whole slew of file paths and so on, so the only way to actually play the new version of week one with the DM patch is to wait for a version of the patch that is built for it. I actually got really excited for a moment, until I tested out the old patch and then realized it wouldn't help >.>.

If you're looking to patch the new version of days 1-7 you'll need to wait, as the conversation involving myself and SandmansMisery shows the current patch for day 8+ does not work on the first week.
It's been a few years since I worked with Ren'py, but later tonight I might take a look at the files and see how doable it would be to make the old DM patch I have work. Based on what I've experienced it seems fairly straightforward, the same images fail to load with either patch. But I am not too knowledgable with this engine anymore having focused on writing and voice acting. Hopefully someone who actually knows the engine well can drop a patch soon.

Heh seems i'm not the only one with issues with the DM patch, still was only some of the sms convos with the girls that glitched so did'nt affect the gameplay too much. All in all i like the update allthought, is it just me or does the animations feel a little stiffer than previous weeks?

Strange, I played the game for first time and was all okay, even finished the week.
Now I play again and the game get error in the sms scenes, with or without DM patch is the same.
Edit 1: Nevermind, I fix it.
Edit 2: Jesus christ Himiko is not some of my tastes, at all... i wish I can just avoid her the entire game

As of Week 1 the DM patch no longer just enabled DM content, it actually contained the content.
That's not the case for the D8-9 patch, which may be the cause of the "image not found" errors. No idea why it would have been uploaded in that case though. Maybe there's info further back in the thread?

For everyone having trouble getting Week 1 + Dark Mind to run:
The Week 1 patch actually adds 2.4 GB of content, it doesn't just enable you to see it. Day 8+9 Alpha DM patch does not work for the Week 1 release of the game because it just sets a permaflag to True, but it doesn't add the renders.
To fix it: go to Lewdpatcher, underneath the download link click show previous versions and download the Week 1 - Final patch. Just did another test run and everything works fine. Cheers

Interesting. My Week 1 version works pretty well with DM enabled. No errors, missing images etc.
