The patrons who unsubbed in April weren't removed from the total until May 1. So it's just the standard trend of resubbing.

As Dukez pointed out (here), there is no English dialogue in the script that's shown. That alone distinguishes it from anything old. One could even go further and search old releases for some of the german dialogue. I don't feel it's necessary to go to such lengths, however.
Not to mention, that doesn't explain the images. They're clearly not from any past release.

yeah according to him the german script and images for day 22-23 were done over a year ago so posting that screenshot doesn't actually prove that he's currently working on it (if we take him at his word).
we can hope that it'll be released soon but even if he does release it, why didn't he work on further days? he's had over a year what has he personally been doing since then? other people were "working" on the merge.
i really hope the game really gets updated but there's no actual reason for us to trust blue.

I could understand him not coding the game with the thought of the merge fixing a lot of thins he wanted to implement into the game. He could had done the whole writing down the dialogue, translating it and doing the scenes in the meantime thought...
yeah exactly he could've prepped for future days but from the looks of it he prepped one update and left it at that
it never had anymore added to it after week 1, its one of the things that they were "working on" with the merge

Ya, I see that. Even the music files don't appear to be implemented into the game. I can just imagine what kind of mess I'll be seeing during week 3.

I forgot about the deadline, sort of like BC did, and decided to look in the thread to see what's going on. Like BC did right before he changed his patreon goal to # of patrons instead of money.
Not saying I'm BC, but I'm not convinced I'm not. I do like cats after all.
Anyways...props for the person who managed to get BC to post that screenshot of the Renpy code.
However, that, at best, confirms what we already knew: That the German script for the next couple days was already written. Pretty sure we've known this for the past 2 years, since this entire time was waiting for a merge. Not new content, since the new content was already being made or had been made. They were just waiting on the merge...and then translation...and then his monitor breaking.
Good that he was able to post that screenshot of 2yr old Renpy code though. That means his monitor isn't broke anymore. Now just need to do the merge and translation.

I'm still in the discord. Didn't post anything for a while cuz i offered my help as a german-english translator and well.. I got told to talk to Latecomer, so i DM'd him. Got no response. Asked BC about it. Got a response afterwards, but had no time so i told him i would message him later. Then, after i messaged him again, i got no response. Again. Don't know what to think about this, but i wanted to share my expierience. I mean, i didn't even want to get paid. I offered my help for free cuz i had no money to support the game.
Maybe Latecomer was just busy, idk. But if i was BC, i would make sure to get the new "slave" to work asap. If Latecomer has no time to do it, i would do it myself. If there is any work that is.
Whatever. I still like the game and i hope there will be an update soon. Will continue to follow this thread. No hard feelings against Blue, Latecomer or Skummy. They all seemed to be nice people. And in my opinion i don't have the right to be angry about no updates because i never supported the game with money. Those who did on the other hand should be angry. One deadline after the other goes by without the promised update. But please, follow my example if u never were a patron. We enjoy a free game. Don't forget that.

Considering Latecomer seems to have no problem doing other projects and they release frequently it's pretty clear he doesn't consider Ecchi Sensei a priority at all, and given how much time has passed it's not a surprise to see Latecomer not reply nor BlueCat do his job properly in the first place.
Obviously this is a while ago as you say but not much has changed, it's just more like further confirmation of them not doing anything. That's not to see they needed OP's help but since BlueCat originally replied to it you could take that as 'somewhat open' to the idea the very least he could've done is replied in the end to tell him they had other plans in place etc; but that would require some honesty and nice conduct.

It had nothing to do with Covid, Brexit or Obama and all to do with Big Dreams and little technical know how.
To be fair, I kind of got less and less invested in the game as it progressed with the constant adding in of characters and relationships and the pushing to the side of established characters. I think the holiday specials were useless wastes of time and the Patron added characters was a dumb idea for a quick cash grab. I have no idea where the story-line was going to go with all the sub-plots weaved in but I'm not desperate to know and I'm not bothered to know that it won't continue, which shows how little enthusiasm I have for the story.

There wasn't really much of a story to begin with though, it's not so much a "i forgot about it" with me, it's more of a "wait, there's a story?".
The story was basically this creepy/rapacious dude (you) going around school/town fucking the 150+ characters that kept being added in, whatever hope there was for a "story" started to die around the time they kept introducing new characters with each update.
