They should have a mod to show the results of the choices. Like what choice you get affections, which one you get intelligent. I want to flirt with EVERY females i want but doubt I would know which choices gives affections and which makes them offensive.
try this one
https://f95zone.to/threads/universal-renpy-mod-urm-2-6-1-mod-any-renpy-game-yourself.48025/

and yeah the choices dont reflect what they do - you think "ah this one might give dom points" - but you get bambozzled :D

I used URM as Boehser Onkel suggests above, which worked fine for me.

There's also this posted earlier in the thread, which I haven't tried myself.

Multi-Mod | Echoes of 2990 [Ch.1] [AADev] - Walkthrough (All Scenes) + Gallery unlocked

Features:

  • An in-game walkthrough
  • All routes and scenes available in a single game.
  • Gallery unlocked
Hey everyone, here's the multi-mod for this incredible game. There's not much to say, you can see all the scenes, get all the routes with the girls in a single game without having to save, and of course, I couldn't leave out a fully unlocked gallery, although for now there isn't much content in it.

Note: I'm not responsible if your old saves don't work. Use this mod at your own risk.

So far it's working. it just highlights in green. It doesn't show what points you get lol. So if you want to follow just the lust or just the affection paths, good luck lol.
Since it says it unlocks all scenes anyway I don't think the points really matter at that point.

Thanks for the heads up it's working. Probably would have tried it out myself but I didn't see that post until after I'd already played through using URM.

I feel there should be a rule with either sandbox or games with a point system. There should ALWAYS be a WT mod for the ones who wants it lol. Make the mod optional but available.

Looks like the players can stop worrying about potential ntr
Well, that sucks.

Sad when devs get cold feet and cave in. This seemed like an interesting story, but if the dev is going to give in every time someone complains, then this is going to blow. It's never good to let players dictate the direction of your story.

There was nothing wrong with other guys joining the crew. Especially since those guys had important roles on the ship. I mean heck, your roommate was the pilot (the short blonde guy)! Now what? All you had to do was just make them more concerned about their job than hooking up with the girls. Other males can exist without it being NTR. Plus, this would have given the MC some male companionship for some enjoyable banter down the line.

Just... sad when a dev does that.

Agreed, it feels like an overstep in the wrong direction. I was chatting with a friend yesterday and gave examples of how they could have quirks that let them stay on the ship and not be NTR bait.

The blob computer guy can just be one of those 2D>3D types.
The rich guy can be a narcissist only concerned with himself.
The muscle guy can be impotent thanks to steroids.
The asian looking guy can be some kind of monk/vow of chastity.
The blonde kid could be gay.

There's tons of ways to spin the guys and still keep them in the story. It doesn't even have to be extreme examples I listed. It's not like they have to be as present as the LIs either.

a ingame wt with on/off option requires atleast 25% more of coding
since this is a first release the dev might add one later , idk

i recommend URM
there is a other tool like urm around just for choices , but i dont name it :p
- i am biased since i am kinda helped urm grow

I love your choices as long as I'm the ONLY guy who sleeps with the girls lol. Another thing that you could do is replace all the guys with women lol. That means more Li's for the MC lol.

The dev also mentioned in the discord that it wasn't an accident that the guys only appeared in 1 render at the very end. That was deliberate because he was already thinking of removing them. Doing it that way makes it very easy to take them out if they decided to.

Yes, I’m working on changing for the end of Chapter 1.
It still fits the situation and plot, that’s why I originally introduced the male characters at the very end, they can be put in and out, anytime.

That's probably what the dev is going to do. Because we need new people to fill those roles (I mean, we are losing both our pilots and our security expert). So, since they dev doesn't want men around anymore, they are going to have to make a whole new slew of females for those roles now.

EDIT: Honestly, it would be more work to add new girls to replace all the men, cause now they are going to need new paths and branching and all that for each new girl. It would have been less work to just keep the guys around and leave them as background characters with no paths.

As promising as I thought this first chapter was...all the inserting and removing makes me question the long term potential. Hopefully this is just initial release chaos and things are good after the dust settles.

What about having Aura handle some of the systems instead? Surely the AI can help pilot the ship.

Yeah, that way it leave some eye candy and wishful thinking for the players that love NTR lol. Not me though, I can't stand NTR unless I steal the other guy's Li's lol.

Quick explanation, I added the guys originally to make things more realistic and give the MC some competition. Thought a bit of rivalry could be fun.

But honestly, the idea of writing NTR stuff started feeling like a headache, too many choices, and most people didn’t want it anyway. So cutting them actually makes things easier and keeps the focus on the harem.
Like others above pointed out already: you can have other male characters without getting into NTR territory. E.g. perhaps they'd try to hit on one of your girls, but they'd only have eyes for you.

I'm pretty confident it's just initial release chaos as you say and I'd hardly call removing some characters who only appeared in 1 render at the very end a change large enough for me to question the developers direction. Especially when the dev was on the fence about including them at all to begin with according to their discord posts.

If we were multiple updates in and suddenly characters who'd already had a fair amount of screen time were removed I'd be iffy on the games future as well, but that isn't the case here.

Someone in the discord suggested this very thing, his response was one of the posts I shared. This one.

Keeping all the male characters in and fully integrating them would double the work. Every new choice or interaction adds a whole extra layer to manage.

I had to make my priorities clear and focus on what really matters and for this game, that’s the core harem experience.
And it makes sense. Harem games already struggle getting the balance right on screen time with the love interests. Adding 5 more side characters to also juggle would take focus off the women, slow down dev time and complicate things more than they already are.

honestly, before starting to read comments here and learning about potential ntr or whatever "rivalry" dev originally planned, i was playing with full expectation for rather common plot move - suddenly "something happens" (for example - attack of the bad guys would be a good excuse) and it forces ship to depart early in a hurry, so only those already on-board + one or two last arrivals actually ended up going (i.e. MC with harem), rest either killed off-screen or just never mentioned again...
so when final renders with bunch of dudes showed up - i was genially confused what the fuck is happening and who are those people
gotta see how dev will handle it story wise - there still need to be some good reason lore wise, but yeah, fuck those guys

I agree, I didn't see anything in game so far. To think NTRish (yes, I'm not a fan, seeing Li/Future Li doing things that other males), the ending was just random guys and girls for the crew, but could mean anything. Yes, I'm sad MC wont be the only male,

You never know, they could be gay, have relationships outside of the ship, kill, and they fight with girls, and get kicked off
