Lol don't pirate my game and then tag me making suggestions
First off, anyone pirating your game either wasn't gonna buy it anyways, or is going to buy it in the future, so there's no lost sales, furthermore, anyone pirating your game and then engaging in community spaces for the game in a positive way is contributing more than if they didn't get involved at all.
Secondly, suggestions are a complicated subject to begin with, and should be taken with a grain of salt, regardless of who it comes from, and someone pirating your game, someone who's just seen someone else play it, someone who's just seen the previews, all of those people can give useful suggestions regardless, simply due to the natures of art and information. If you know something about a subject, and you make a suggestion based on that info, either the person you're suggesting it to uses it or they don't, but furthermore they might already have that info, or they might not, they also might have just entirely not thought of it, possibly due to tunnel vision or whatever other reason, on the other hand, if you make a suggestion that isn't useful, then the person you're suggesting it to just shouldn't use it, but even then, truly useless suggestions are actually pretty rare from people earnestly engaging, they give insight to perceptions of your project, and they often spark other thoughts adjacent.
Piracy isn't even a problem, but when it is a peoblem, it's a service or price problem, it's not even on the pirates, it's on the storefront selling the game. Many of the most financially successful games in the indie scene, the devs have rather lax attitudes towards piracy, even before they're financially successful, because they often pirated games themselves, but furthermore. On the other hand, those who buy most of their media, but still pirate a game out of principle, they tend to be the ones you should be listening to the most, because they know what they're doing technologically, they know and care about media, and yet they still think you're not deserving of the price of your media, but still are interested enough in it to engage with it, it results in the perfect storm of giving a sign of a failure in and of itself, while also having a high likelyhood of being a good source of info in trying to fix whatever mistake you've made.
Being aggressive towards pirates does nobody any good, and even harms yourself
