What to expect from a Character Update
A Character Update is a focused expansion that continues one character’s story in a meaningful way. For Jun, that means picking up right where your connection with her left off. Your long-awaited date is finally approaching, and the update follows the two of you as she prepares for her debut art exhibit. You help her search the city for a venue, pose for her newest piece, and spend time together in a way that brings her personal world into focus.

Each Character Update will expand one character’s path within a contained quest line, while still fitting naturally into the larger game. If you were to start a new save after a few character updates, you'd be able to play through these storylines in pretty much any order.

What Happens Now?

Here is the plan! Our next priority is finishing and releasing the HookUp App Feature Update.

While we work on that, Dr. Bird will be writing all of Jun’s scenes so that development on her update can begin right away once the HookUp App is complete.

During development of Jun’s update, we will open another poll where you will choose the first male character to receive a Character Update.

As for the timeline, we still want to avoid guessing or giving dates too early. Once we reach a point where the update is nearly finished and we can give you a definite release window, we will announce it. One of the goals of these more focused updates is to deliver content to you more often and with a much faster turnaround than the Welcome Week Update.

Dad's girlfriend Sasha wasn't on the poll? Are the character updates for students only?

Edit: Or is it because there was some content for Sasha in the update that was released recently, so maybe they didn't put her option in the poll? I have not played the new update yet, so I might be missing the info on this.

i dont know about anyone else but i'd prefer contents being us being on top instead of bottom, no idea why most adult games now are all about MC who is extremely happy being the bottom/being extremely timid...

I play with a FMC but from a post on this page there already has been some, has it not?

The newest update has one M/M scene, but it can very easily be a M/F scene given MC doesn’t have a choice on orientation and it plays like a Mass Effect Andromeda scene where you could replace the character models with anyone and it won’t change much. The M/M scene with Peter also doesn’t really make sense when you’re flirting with him and find him fawning over Maeve at the diner. Idk, but the devs need to work out the queer romance routes because they’re defaulting MC to be a straight man with bi side-content. The dialogue is also very “a straight person wrote this and doesn’t really know how to write queer dialogue”

Hard to say really; they've written Peter as a horndog who will basically fuck anything that moves. He might be only incidentally bi and less open about being into men, but the implication is not that MC's dick is the first he's seen other than his own and he's supposedly not fumbling about when giving the blowjob either. Kind of sucks that he feels very much a caricature in that way, but maybe he'll change later on, who knows. Right now though, I wouldn't put any hopes on having a proper relationship with him other than open or FWB.

They've already said that they're planning on giving the option to skip the opening scene for people who aren't interested in that character.

I'd have to see how the other male characters are written to really say one way or the other. Trent's more subtle about it so far.

Hey everyone!

It's been an exciting month! Let's break down all that's been going on <3

1. Successful Playtesting!
On October 27, we put out the call for play testers, and the response completely blew us away. We originally said we would bring in around thirty five testers. Instead we ended up with fifty nine, and hundreds of more messages asking to help! Your feedback played a huge role in getting the update into the shape it is in now, and we cannot thank you enough. To give you a peek at what people had to say, here are a few highlights from the playtesting survey.



2. Launch of Early Access for the Welcome Week Update V0.2.0
On November 14, we launched Early Access for the Welcome Week Update V0.2.0 and the reaction has been fantastic! Seeing so many of you dive into the update and share your experiences has been incredibly motivating for us. On December 12, the update becomes available for free on both Itch and Steam, and we cannot wait for even more players to jump in.



3. Small Patch Coming in the Public Release on December 12
Player feedback is a huge part of how we continue improving the game. One of the biggest questions we received was about finding the theater on the map, so we've made a small quality of life adjustment for the public release. Instead of requiring you to find the map, you will now receive it directly on the first morning before class. It is a simple fix, but one that we think will make early navigation much smoother.



4. Character Update Poll
In case you missed the flurry of posts these past couple weeks, Jun won our very first Character Update Poll. She will be the focus of our first official Character Update, which will begin immediately after the HookUp App Feature Update. Her story is already shaping up to be something really special and we cannot wait to share more.



5. HookUp App Progress
The HookUp App is coming together really well and it is already feeling like an exciting new part of the game. Kicks has been doing amazing work getting the system up and running in game, and we are also in talks with an animator who may be joining us to help bring some of the spicy scenes to life.

This will be a smaller update that introduces the new gameplay mechanic, with plans to expand it over time by adding more characters and more animations in future updates.



6. Peter Wallpaper Tomorrow!
Tomorrow, Junior and Senior tier supporters will get access to a brand new exclusive Peter wallpaper. It is easily one of our favorites so far! The Ella wallpaper will follow shortly after!



7. Peter's Playlist Update!
Peter has updated his Spotify playlists with new songs that fit just about any vibe you can think of!

8. Progress Tracker Reset
The progress trackers have officially been reset. We are already making strong headway on the HookUp App Feature Update and it feels great to see the next phase taking shape.

While this is speculation, I would have to assume the dev left her off that list on purpose.

From a plot development standpoint, any lewd content with Sasha has to happen later in the story. She's not some young single girl at the school the MC can hook up with tomorrow and her connection to the MC is obviously complicated enough that she would have to demonstrate some reluctance at the very least.

Characters like her in most games/ AVNs are usually a slow burn. There will be more flirtatious interactions to build tension with her and the eventual pay-off will be that much sweeter for it.

i understand that the games focus is on all the other characters too but unlike stepmom, they are all in close proximity to MC....

I agree with this and what Commander Booty said. A sudden flirty text would feel rushed. Developing the storyline with Sasha gradually would be ideal, as she is a character with a few taboo aspects (she being your dad's girlfriend), so it's important to plan this thoughtfully so that when things finally happen between them it feels natural and well-paced.

yeah, i guess im just overexcited because this is one of the few games that i actually want to see how things go with the plot.
our mc is just an awkward guy and most games that start out that way either get abandoned, stuck in a limbo of super small updates that lead to nowhere or go down ntr path after a few updates.....

not the first time it has happened(i am one of the many people who wanted to see how summertime saga goes....before shit happened) but im hoping it doesnt or on the off chance it does, at least the character which im rooting for will have gotten some content

Nothing to be sorry about, mate. I can relate to the impatience, as well as the tendency to overthink something. They go hand in hand for sure.

After seeing the latest dev note, and seeing the level of planning being put into the game - not to mention the ancillary details like themed Spotify playlists, I think we can be assured this game will see many more updates.

Now burnout and life events do happen. Devs are also humans, of course. But this has more potential than the average game. Don't let the failings of other games cause you to not give this one a chance.


Given the track record of some of the most beloved games on this forum, it is easy to fall into the trappings of pessimism. Fight the urge -- choose to be optimistic!

This game looks incredibly good! I’m a supporter of proper AI usage. The characters look great, and some of them I would definitely like to see more of especially the ladies with big breasts, including Sasha! I’m not into the gay stuff, and I hope I can completely ignore those. Having a trophy system where things can be unlocked, as well as the monster girl cards, is fantastic.
