The fix for this bug was posted a few pages back.
You need to use a save from v0.25, use the search at the top of the page and select "this thread" to find one that many people have posted.

for those with a black screen when entering Brad's room, extract this file into the www/data folder and overwrite the old file.
please make a backup of the original one beforehand.
