Been a while since I played this but why the fuck is the MC so antagonistic with everyone (with no player choice over it)... Yana comes to make peace and extend an olive branch and instead of matching that energy it's like 'oh ho ho, an olive branch for a change I'm surprised you're not trying to beat me with it'... chill the fuck out, I'm surprised he has any allies at this point. Like when you go to try to recruit the necromancer and then just endlessly give her shit even though you're the one who went to her to try and get her to join your team. He doesn't come off as some some dark and brooding antihero, just as a jerk - and even if that was how he started out the player should have had enough opportunity to influence him by now to give things a flavour that suits our tastes.
So much of chapter 3 (?) just devolved into endless cryptic-ness and edginess (can't think of the right word). Ooooh forces beyond control, ooooh riddle riddle vagueness, ooooh in time you will know, ooooh my past is so heavy but no matter the cost yada yada yada.
Now I get I'm just a horny chump playing a porn game but obviously should have gotten with Yana when she mentioned being a sex demon, then she could have dropped the illusion as they were in private. Ended up having a rubbish quickie (that he was also complaining about before and afterward) in a forest. She deserves better, not just because demon gals are great, but also she maybe had to let some rando fuck her to not go mad, who was then a jerk about it and gaslit her into thanking him for it. Oh and now she's gone for I guess at least a while too, so there goes any chance at treating her right and getting some real demon loving. Also not showing Amy the pleasures of the flesh at the first chance because 'ooooh I don't understand these feelings' then stammering through trying to blow her off when she makes a move later, pfft. Oh and they keep talking about how Morgana will betray everyone, well no faster way to ensure that that to perpetually put her down and talk about how disgusting it'd be to bed her, not to mention assault her, she's hot why not try to secure her loyalty in the best way possible.
Also from when I picked things back up (when he goes to the dwarves, early Chapter 3 I think) until the end of the current content there was a sum total of 1 choice, and it didn't really feel significant, though admittedly I didn't check what happens if the new MC gets information from regular people rather than poor ones. Kinetic games are kinda dull the advantage of games over movies is interaction and getting to have a hand in the proceedings. This goes hand in hand with my complaint over how the MC acts, the player should be deciding this even if it ultimately changes nothing but the dialogue. I'd say it was out of laziness but the game is well polished, the models good, the renders solid, so doesn't feel like that.
Like I'll keep playing because I do like a fantasy romp and I like some of the ladies in this, but I just remember this previously having left me with a much stronger impression and I'm really sick of MC's attitude that is stuck on either whinging or being an arsehole to those he should be appreciating.
