i hope the dev will give us an option to just skip the parts with the "second MC" i couldn't care less about the details of what some other character does behind the scenes
Odd. Cause I did not, and I am wondering should I.
Because rollback is closely tied to how the game tracks past states. If rollback is disabled, the game will no longer track states that allow going back. This can sometimes help resolve issues related to corrupted states or save file incompatibilities because the game isn't trying to roll back into a conflicting point in the script.
which seems to be the problem, but I did not so far disable it. Not sure what happened on your end though.
Anyhow, thanks man.
I don't mind her not being a main part of the story. My problem is more that her 'giving' her lifelong partnership to the MC was quite a big moment of emotional connection that then creates certain expectations going forward.Another game putting the cute elf girl on the sidelines... She was by far my favorite. Sadness has overtaken the kingdom. If what I'm reading is true and she was never meant to be a main character then she should've absolutely been killed off or shipped off after the first chapter... you kind of built her up just to abandon her. Weird.
ohh then never mind
sadly this novel get more and more kinetic no choices its rly sad
Its not badly written, just over written. Pretentious on levels like a English lit grad student took too much Adderall. The dialogue reeks of self importance and then so do the characters. If they aren't over speaking then they speaking about vague platitudes of self importance. All of the dialogue needs a sharp trim. All of the characters need to be depowered a couple levels. AND FFS all of these females need to stop having a mystical divinity driven boner for the MC. I'm starting to think thats his only real power. The dialogue in this game is odd too. It's like everyone is constantly trying to sound like the smartest person in the room, and they have tendencies to take any opportunity to be assholes to each other. It really is a very arrogant and contentious group of people.
and quickly neutered as well. All of the dark side choices in that almost completely evaporated.Given it's a lengthy story, I don't mind too much. Anything to enable the dev to make consistent progress.
It's not really viable to have any length of story with meaningful branching. The Nephilim dev tried and it quickly became pretty redundant
Not in Elleria 1. Possibly/likely in Elleria 2 according to Dev's comments a few days ago. Will Lyria return in the future? Because if she doesn't come back it will be very disappointing, I really liked her.
..fate cannot be broken. You are the instrument of The One's will. You can like it, hate it, or even despise it- but know this: no matter how fiercely you fight against it, you will walk the path laid out for you, overcoming every obstacle, and fulfill the tapestry of fate that has been woven for you.
The One does not engage in such quaint matchmaking antics: he doesn't meddle with our free will. We all have a choice. Instead, he merely makes us aware of certain truths, like an old sage. It's less about orchestrating love stories and more about granting us a glimpse into the intricate tapestry of fate-a peek behind the curtain if you will. It's really just an invitation to ponder the paths laid out before us.
The best way I can rationalize this is that the universe is not exactly deterministic but there is an inevitable future set by The One and you have the free will in choosing the path that leads you there. Kind of like the concept of destiny. But she does suggest we could escape fate or try to which would result in something worse than death (whatever that means!). I think this means we have the free will to navigate our path to our designated future, but we also have the free will to resist it which results in much badness. Alternatively it could function in the way of quantum mechanics: The One sees all possible outcomes of every decision but mortal choice collapses the possibilities into a single reality, but I'm not sure that fits well with what she said. I guess the simplest way to resolve it would be to say that both free will and fate exist and The One has some unknowable property that solves the paradox! You carry the footsteps of fate that could change my own.
MC breaks down in tears reading Lyria's letter. That's hardly emotionless. The Dev now injects a second protagonist as we have become used to a emotionless MC, Lryia leaves etc. etc..
well this is it, I'm out
And you could have fooled me that Lyria is not a LI
I've seen people mention that problem but I myself never had any issues with rollback. It seemed to work fine. I'm not sure if this game has it but many have a history button and auto saves so if you really need to go back and read something you missed there are ways. If you're gonna play this entire story on a serious note, then you have to tone the dialogue down and reign in over powering everyone except the MC. Right now it just comes off like anime Shakespeare on ADHD medication meets the Witcher.
What sucks is I'm enjoying the story when it doesn't get lost in its over heavily overdrawn talking. What's worse is one miss click and you miss an entire diatribe that could be important because for some reason a rollback function is terrible in kinetic novel with no choices.
