E4 is almost here!

I'm really excited to share E4 with you soon :) I'm just in the final stage of editing and testing.

I'm sure you're wondering whether E4 is longer than previous episodes given the increased time I've spent on it so I'll quickly answer that:

  • Image wise - E4 is about 40% bigger than E3 (which was previously the biggest)
  • Animation wise - it has a similar quantity to E3, but several of them are much longer (20sec)
I've also spent a lot of time on several new environments, A LOT of brand new characters, as well as some random other features like the new HaremWars shop & collection screen.

Thank you so much for your patience and support, I really hope you'll enjoy it :)
That's good news, really...althought i gonna have to say, we really don't need a ''a lot of brand new characters'' the cast is already quite large as is, to the point where even half the main LI's only get a short appearance per update, no need to add more.

yeah... the main cast is already huge enough as it is, don't see the point in adding even more side charas.

I think the dev has previously hinted that the "new characters" mainly refers to the rugby team as the possible foils to the MC and not to a whole bunch of new LIs. There's also the Halloween party at the end of the episode so there needs to be a bunch of background characters for that too.

I don't think background characters really count as new characters.
Yeah, i don't think these are new LI's, just that i hope he is putting focus on the LI's and not wasting time on new side characters for some sex scenes etc.

I hope that's true. This is one of the best games being developed right now and I'd hate for it to be ruined (like so many others) by adding 15 different characters, resulting in each one getting only a minute of screentime per update, prolonging development time, creating extremely convoluted save structures, etc.

I've been on both sides of the art world (an artist and an art enjoyer), and it's always funny to see what each artist obsessed over.

I for one hate Harem Wars (but still play until I win because I ain't no bitch) and im going to commit the eggregious sin of assuming I'm in the majority (if I'm wrong, don't let me know). It's such a badly made piece of shit that sits on the otherwise incredible meal that is Elmwood.

I'm not hating on mini games in this AVN or any other either, just this one specific aspect to this one specific game. And so it's so interesting to think that WW puts all this effort and love into something that most people don't like.

I think that's what defines great artists, the duality of passion(or obsession) at war with pragmatism. He'd probably make more money by putting the resources he's sunk into his shit-terrible mini game into any other aspect of Elmwood, but would that make the game actually better? Would it kill the passion that is so lacking in many mainstream games now?

Take Bioware for example.

Their 'early' portfolio is rich and varied. Though always story focused, most of their early games had mini games and shitty combat and weird stuff thrown in. It was kind of terrible. The card games and pod racing from Kotor was unfair, the hacking in Mass Effect was simultaneously boring and basic, and we will say nothing of the unforgivable fireworks game from Dragon Age.

These games were not good. They were not well made. They were not... Fun.

But coincidentally or not, right around the time Bioware learned to be lean and efficient and cut these things out is also when their legendary quality began to decline.

And for this reason I say I am glad WW continues to make his shitty little card game that I will obsessively play until I win against each opponent, even though the 'prize' is often not ing more than another card to play in said game.

Kudos to you, WE. Kudos to you.

I'm also curious about Kat (the girl that you can have a threesome with). Is she an official love interest, or was that just a one-time thing in the game? (I'm good with either option, BTW.)
Kat will probably be an optional 3 way relationship with Chel (as you can weird Kat out and she leaves)

And i highly doubt the dev would bring in Kat just for her to be a one time thing especially when she's getting treated like garbage by her boyfriend. But i kind of also think she's a one time thing as we quite literally had sex with her the minute we met her... Personally i think nothing happens with her again. And i honestly do not mind it as the cast is already big as it is.

the trio cheerleaders, smart girl, both teachers, Paris, Taylor, Katie, redhead Taylor, twins, Molly, Saki, troublemaker chick, punk chick. I think that's it?

Tho the game bio does in fact say (18 romanceable characters) so Kat's probably one of them and possibly the lesbian couple.

Edit: Kat's probably not one of them as i just counted everyone + Kat makes it 19

It's 18 as in the 18 main LIs that have full bio profiles for them. Kat is not one of them.
