I have a different set of complaints when it comes to Katie though. I don't really understand her character. Isn't she supposed to be a hopeless romantic. How is she completely fine with us dating other girls?
As a matter of fact almost no one(other than the twins ofc) seems to mind at all. Everyone just loves us lmao.
I don't know what this is? Plot convenient writing so its not too difficult for the dev to make MC's harems?

The problem (right now) is that the writing quality is good and the realism is pretty close to on point, so yeah, it feels weird when EVERYONE* is okay with us fucking around. Just in case no one is aware, when a girl likes a guy, she locks him down.

That said, it's meant to be a harem game, so I think there's room to work on this. Maybe he can convince girls to be non exclusive. There's interesting drama and hot scenes to be mined from that. Think how hot it would be to convince a girl to share you with her best friend?

Or maybe there are supernatural elements here, and certain traits really do allow you to 'adjust' the women around you to your benefit. Also some story potential here.

But as it is right now, again. It's just the typical lazy harem game, 'date all my friends and fuck them in front of me' from everyone. Which sucks, cause I would have like to corrupt or seduce at least SOME of the LIs into that. Like at least the chaste girls and the virgins should require some work.

Now this isn'te hating on the harem genre. I'm excited to see how things pair up. And I'm on board for WWs vision of the game, however it shakes out. I just hope he can deliver on all the things his story has already promised.

As for Katie specifically, perhaps she's just written to be 'nice'. Thinking of others and acting completely unselfishly. Or maybe she's just inconsistent. Or maybe I'm an idiot and I'm misunderstanding the game and subsequent episodes will make it clear that all of this is building to something.

I fully expect the breadth of possible choices and LIs to blow up in the developer's face, but I enjoy it for what it is.

Regarding the possible choices, I am a little disappointed by the lack of diversity in the choices. When I saw Kim, I thought that would be another to put down as a choice but she'll most likely be one of the extra's the mc gets to play with.

As for the rest of this episode, I was thinking more about the gorilla's and the claims of drug use. Then we had the Halloween party which starts off with a naked girl hanging out the window in a pumpkin head making it hard to tell if she's responsive and submitting to an exhibitionist kink or if she's being taken advantage of. Then we go inside and see another girl that looks like she's passed out butt naked with a bottle shoved up her rear that shows no movement or any form of communication. Fast forward a bit then we have the twins protecting the girl from the dorm who looks like a victim of a date rape drug and she's taken back to the dorm instead of to a hospital to be checked out. With things like that happening we'll probably see the rape tag added soon enough.

To answer the "why was the MC even there" question, I'd say "making friends". I thought the scene was fine as filler. It was a relatively realistic event - guy goes to the pub with two new friends who happen to be a couple. I didn't find anything weird about it.

Some of the stuff from the first meeting with Jo and Chlo (did I see them referred to as "Joey"?) was weird, with the slapping and overbearing statements leading up to that, but I liked the pair a lot more after this meeting. Both looked great as well, which obviously helps.

Obviously they are on the LI list, so eventually, if you get everything right, there will be opportunities with them, presumably joining them as a throuple, and the sex tips given in the last episode look to be the first steps towards softening them up. I can see this being a fun path to follow, if it's done well.

Honestly I hope that it doesn't go down the usual "MC corrupts a lesbian couple" especially because they've shown zero interest in the MC. Tbh for me it reduces lesbian relationships to the sexist trope of "they're not really lesbian, they just haven't found the right guy."

Making friends might work better as a group, but that doesn't mean it can't work when it's not a group. They are specifically trying to get to know MC, not MC and some other people at the same time. The stuff about "turning/joining lesbians" etc. is just the assumption because the girls are listed as LIs and some of the stuff the dev has written/said about them. Take that out of the equation though, because it's not involved here, and I thought it was a nice scene, wholesome almost.

The girls are open-minded enough to realise that MC might not actually be a dickhead, and they're giving him a chance. If you're not a dick or a blatant horndog in your conversation with them, it could be the start of a good friendship. And I'm not disputing your view, because you're your own person, but for me, I don't get the bit about being friends with them but only if there are other people around as well. It doesn't really seem like friends, you're pretty much just acquaintances in that scenario, only seeing each other and talking briefly at parties, etc.
