Honestly I hope that it doesn't go down the usual "MC corrupts a lesbian couple" especially because they've shown zero interest in the MC. Tbh for me it reduces lesbian relationships to the sexist trope of "they're not really lesbian, they just haven't found the right guy."
Personally I would rather have them as acquaintances rather than friends and definitely not LI's.
Which is exactly what will happen, in one way or another. They are, for whatever reasons, LI's.
I really don't like lesbian couples either in male MC games. For one, i have zero interest in lesbian content, but also most of the times it just results in a very bad 'i actually like dick' setup, or the MC is treated like a dildo...
Being sexist aside, most of the time it's just so weak or dumb written that i don't get why the dev even bothers and not make it a straight/bi LI from the beginning...
As for this game, i really don't know why they are even LI's. For the lesbian content quota we have the cheer LI's already and threesomes, throuples or (partial/full) harem is on the table with pretty much any other LI...
They would work way better as friends only imo.
Making friends might work better as a group, but that doesn't mean it can't work when it's not a group. They are specifically trying to get to know MC, not MC and some other people at the same time. The stuff about "turning/joining lesbians" etc. is just the assumption because the girls are listed as LIs and some of the stuff the dev has written/said about them. Take that out of the equation though, because it's not involved here, and I thought it was a nice scene, wholesome almost.
The girls are open-minded enough to realise that MC might not actually be a dickhead, and they're giving him a chance. If you're not a dick or a blatant horndog in your conversation with them, it could be the start of a good friendship. And I'm not disputing your view, because you're your own person, but for me, I don't get the bit about being friends with them but only if there are other people around as well. It doesn't really seem like friends, you're pretty much just acquaintances in that scenario, only seeing each other and talking briefly at parties, etc.
If you try to get to know someone you aren't flirting and making out with your partner the entire time, while the other person has to suffer through the evening...this is just third wheeling, i think most would feel rather uncomfortable, awkward or annoyed watching this for a whole evening and it's not specifically because they are a lesbian couple.
If you want to jump each other, fine, get a room ffs.
If the MC would have a date/partner too, this would be a different thing, but not like this.
Also you don't need to be a horndog, even just telling them they look beautiful this evening gets you immediately the stinky eye from the blue twat...open minded looks different, well the brunette lesbo is.
