Are you sure there won't be a whole harem ending among all main love interests planned?

So I had to search the dev's Patreon but this is from a post made after a survey was released after E2:

"This next question is quite interesting to look at. Here are the sort of endings you guys are most interested in:

1) Large harem (9+ girls) - 53%

2) Monogamous relationship (1 girl) - 46%

3) Throuple (2 girls) - 44%

4) 1 serious girl, casual w others - 41%

5) Small harem (3 girls) - 37%

6) Medium harem (4-8 girls) - 36%

7) No relationship, just casual sex - 19%

(These % don't add up to 100 because you could vote for more than one)

There was also the option to specify any other ending and from that we have a lot of people specifying a Tashley throuple, a few wanting a super big harem of all 18 girls and also quite a few asking for a solo Dr Riley ending. Also some other things written here such as ending the game as a virgin ahah (bodycount 0) and this was originally going to be an achievement in the game but I'm not sure if I do want to keep that or not lol. Also don't ask me what "Allergic to bee sting" means... I'm extremely confused by this lol.

But with this data the first thing that I found weird was how despite the large harem being the top desired ending, the small/medium harem are two of the least desired. So it's kinda weird - there isn't a basic correlation of more girls = more desired. But maybe the data is skewed by the options I've presented. It's just very surprising to me how the medium sized harem is so low. I might find a way to ask this question again in future with slightly different options/ wording to verify this data but regardless all of the options I've written will be endings in some form or another." (emphasis on that last point).

So while the dev hasn't explicitly said so, my thinking after reading between the lines from this post was that the "super big harem" option isn't planned. I could be wrong though!

It makes sense to me. If a harem with all the girls is available, smaller harems feel a bit redundant. That's, of course, assuming they contain the same girls. A small harem with my favourites is going to be a lot more appealing than a 9+ harem without them.

Personally, I'd rather them be broken up into smaller polycules. I'm no Rentaro.

If there isn't going to be an everyone harem, though, then it just makes it all the more frustrating not knowing what the routes explicitly are. I'd rather get working on multiple saves now than have to do it later. Last time I asked, the dev wanted to keep that close to their chest.

Considering the description of the perk "harmony", I would be VERY surprised if there isn't an "all 18 main girls" harem (that maybe you can only get by rushing the light supernatural branch as fast as possible or something). Also, I would expect the "Fuck everyone (incuding side girls) but no relationship" to be what you get if you rush the dark supernatural branch.

Nah, if you get to harmony that's +70 love points with all main girls by itself. Sure, you'll skip some sex scenes, but I think the whole point of Harmony is to get them all in spite of that.

If you can collect them all, but can't play with them when/how you want, what is the point of the harem? It's like having limits imposed despite being the one who built the harem. "You can buy 1,000 action figures Timmy, but you can only play with 5 at a time, and you have to permanently stop playing with them after 20 hours each!"

Bottom line: forcing good path followers to skip content just so they can "get along" later doesn't seem like a rewarding path for the player/reader. If the dark path scenes are *specifically* dark, that's one thing. But if the good path locks out a bunch of non-dark-specific content just to manage members and work on getting them to "play nice", that's a bit of a turn-off.

I originally liked the skill trees that EU presented. But the more I see it over time, and the more I play it, the less I like it overall. I see skills as "earned perks" that should enhance gameplay, not lock the player into a pre-determined path. That may not align with what EU offers.

You misunderstood, or I didn't express myself well enough, one or the other. What I meant was, I think with rushing Harmony you'll miss some early sex scenes, but later you'll be able to be in a relationship with all of them, which will mean you'll get to fuck everyone. Later on. Makes things a bit slower, but with a better (in my opinion) payout.


Remember the tale that robed weirdo told us at the party, prioritizing sex perks will get you laid, but won't get you the full harem.

In the end of the day, if you want to have your cake and eat it too, you can always use the cake mod.

Do we know if NG+ is still on the table? I asked the dev if New Game+ will have scenes to account for perks we would have on a NG+ playthrough that we wouldn't have been able to unlock on our first playthrough, and that made him seem less keen on the idea.

I think I understood you pretty well. You re-stated, and I'll re-reply (and for the record, I think we're seeing the same scenario, and it doesn't look good for EU):

That's what I did last playthrough, yup. I'm just afraid the few skill points given out will make multiple playthroughs required to experience most of the content. Some people can do that, but a lot of people won't (myself included). It'd make a cheat mod almost mandatory to avoid more than 2 playthroughs (1 Light, 1 Dark) even with the mod cranking up points.

I have no doubt that if you don't use a mod, you will miss content. That is clearly the dev's intent. If mods weren't possible, it would be worth a discussion. As it is, I'm not sure why there's any concern. If you want to play it "as intended" and do multiple playthroughs that's available. If you want to have all the cakes and eat all the cakes all at once, that is also available.

Just use urm and give yourself unlimited skillpoints, its every easy, imo your right that it really is more fun with all skills but its not like thats a big deal
