Why was there a stallion on the farm anyway? The normal thing for most people in the time period would be gelding because geldings are gentle. Stallions are prized for breeding stock. Most common for farms would be donkey or mule to protect live stock if people were too poor to have a dog. Geldings are neutered stallions and would have been more useful to ride around and keep people safe. Stallion are seen as hard to handle and sell for good money. I am surprised that father figure took tractor run down vehicle versus stallion he didn't take to town for money?
I mark limited story line. Rape story line there is no neutral story line and no staying free and continue finding her dad which totally strange? Not whole window of management on farm.

Maybe that should have been 2 weeks before some skills earned so she is unable to defend herself. Basic know what is bad to eat and what her father taught is safe to eat. Or knowledge her mother taught her.
