I'm curious as to why the japanese use such atrocious titles for their games recently, is it just a case of certain euphemisms not translating properly into english? Or are these titles just supposed to be this bad?

It's not just the Japanese. Chinese and Korean titles get pretty ridiculous. It's been this terrible for so long that it's commonly satirized inside creative works like Light Novels, Manga, Manhwa, and even some works of actual literature. And there's a few reasons--sometimes the author is trying to make their work stand out with a flashy title. Sometimes they're shamelessly appealing to a very specific target audience. Sometimes they're making fun of novels with titles like this by using one when their story turns out to be a meta-satire, in the way that Konosuba mocks the typical Isekai story.
In general with titles like this you can expect something fairly...typical. Cookie-cutter, even. And sometimes that's what you're into, or you want to see if the author can put a different spin on an old formula. If nothing else, they told you exactly what you were getting into.
