If you hold down the space bar it will show you all important items in the scene.

For this 'puzzle', you would need to pick up the stick on the desk, and get the hook from the bucket.
Use the stick on the keyhole to push the key out
Use the hook on the key to retrieve it
use the key on the door
and Viola!
