If i remember corectly, this levelrequires you to walk around the level, and collect everything(it probably looks like keys) while not dying, then exit portal should open.

These fuyou games (especially the scarlet war maiden) spoiled me good. I realized this when playing the EP metal demo, how much of a sucker I'm for many of the mechanics (like the hubworld) that's present in this dev's games.

It also helps that the content is good.
