Every single girl I’ve tried to progress with stops before even a kiss. The whole point of the game is being able to progress without an artist holding them back, I expected them to be way further than this.

it might as well be abandoned as the devs just answer with a generic "still working on it" and showing nothing for it.
also for what it's worth the abandoned tag is added if there's no communication from the devs for i think six months. there where no news on their Patreon which is now in overhaul mode, no news on their blog and even on their Discord you gotta pull the info outta their nose otherwise you'd hear nothing

nah it's more than one dev plus the artist (who's the reason for this mess in the first place) and they also have their other game they focus on. if it's truly abandoned they should just say so instead of stringing people along and if it's not they should put more effort in than just focusing on their other game. the slow progress argument doesn't fly for two reasons:
1: they had more than a few years to work on it even without art (which ties into the second point)
2: it's RPGMaker and with what they're using it's very little effort as the systems are either already in place or can be bought. the slow progress argument might fly if they had to wait for the art and used any other engine but they didn't

Devs can say "We're still working on it" as many times as they want. It's a renpy game and it's been 2 years. It's abandoned. Writing 1 line of dialogue every 4 months doesn't count.
