Interesting concept and goals, but this is a beast to try and learn blind. I have no clue why I can sometimes deploy cards and other times can't.

I need to smoke less. That took me forever to figure out. Finally the growing heart number and the middle card number clicked together. Once it did I quite enjoyed the card game I feel the flow is steady and easy, but it will definitely benefit from an Order of Operations diagram at least. So far I like the card types and abilities. They are varied and some can be applied to both sides for different effects.

The only spots that really bothered me (card variety and deck building) are most likely due to it being in Alpha and me being impatient. I look forward to how it progresses.

I've added a tutorial including the OoO.

The next version will implement card modding, so players will be able to add their own cards, which will hopefully help offset the slow pace of my card development.

I also have art for 20+ new cards. I'll add as many as I can by the next update's deadline.
I gave this a try and I really enjoyed it, I wish you good luck with the development!
Thanks! The new version is up. Not a lot was added - the main thing is the deckbuilder, but it's slowly starting to take form.

v0.1 is live:
- 5(x4) new defeat graphics.
- Deck Builder.
- Main Menu.
- Tutorial.
- Council area.
- Swap hand cards.

Please report any bugs that you find - I didn't get much time to search for bugs, but I like to think that my coding isn't that horrible.

Next month's update will focus on character card modding.
It will allow players to create their own cards. Since all of the card logic is written elsewhere, everybody will be able to make their own cards without needing any coding knowledge.

The mods will be setup in such a way that they will be easy to share, enable and disable.

your [.passage] class set the height to 100%
which means no scrollbar on the rightside for low resolution screen - like me :HideThePain:
same goes for tutorial text
which mean can't proceed to the game, since the link is down below

other than that had some suggestion on ui should've said it in the previous post :Kappa:

the background image should be tweaked a little so the card will stand out more

card balance is still questionable
if the draw's good initially the game is alr end, with or without council
but this is still 1 pack edition, hopefully it'll all ironed out in the following update

New trend send out AI shovelware, hope to get some guillable guys to pay on Patreon, rinse and repeat.
That might be true for some games, but I believe Satori6 is trying to make an actual balanced/deep strategy deck based tactics game. The card face graphics are just there for eye candy, they are not the purpose nor the goal of the game.

The dev has been active and contributing in the dev subforums for a while now and seems to be learning and progressing his talent in both art and game development.

If you don't understand something, your opinion is only based on assumption, not knowledge.

First of all, thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate it.

I think I know what's happening in those screens - I'll be out today, but I'll try uploading a quick fix for this issue before long.

Definitely. I want to make a better UI at some point.
These suggestions shouldn't take too long - I'll implement them for the next update and then make a better looking one down the line.

Card balance is ass right now. haha
Start with Nova and Graverobber and you're set.

Since the implementation of character modding seems to be much easier than I initially expected, I will have some extra time this month. I'll be using some of it to update the AI, but I'll also start working on the factions system.

I'll explain it further once it's implemented, but the result will basically be that -barring a mixture of tons of luck and the use of the right abilities and skills- it will be exceedingly difficult to get cards like Nova and Gravedigger at the same time, and they won't be able to be included on the same deck.

I also have targeted abilities in mind which will allow you to either kill or send the selected card back to the deck, making cards like Olympian easier to counter.

am being serious here fix that first page or remove it together. no clear instruction how to proceed on first page it make a bad impression on your game. not to mention of your game just first page is a problem.

I haven't played it yet, so I don't know the mechanics of the game, but just looking at the images it reminds me of Gwent from The Witcher 3. I hope the gameplay is similar to Gwent.

What is used to create such images? Stable Diffusion? In all the games using AI that I've seen, they look similar.

I can not figure out how the targeted effects of deployed cards like the cheerleader or the assassin work. the game seems to enter a state where I should be able to click on a card to resolve the effect but this does not seem to work.

I personally have little faith in the creator and the people who are deluded

From my experience, I see that the future of this game will be 'Abandoned' in a few months. Reasons: 1) The engine is in HTML. 2) The art is generated entirely in AI, without any post-processing or editing. 3) Extremely high Patreon for a recently released game.

So as not to be a completely pessimistic comment, I will leave some points for the developer: 1) Use an engine made for creating games. 2) Focus on learning to draw, or model. You can, for example, completely edit the images you generate via AI, with the aim of leaving them original. 3) Building a game takes time, famous developers took years to perfect it, so don't do a project using all the easy things and want to become a millionaire.

Yes, Stable Diffusion. And you're right, most AI art looks similar.
The next update will implement card modding, so players will be able to use whatever art they prefer for the cards.

The AI images are mostly a placeholder, as my goal with this game is to learn HTML/JS - the art is not a priority for me.

Yes, when deploying those cards you can click on a card to trigger their effect. Mousing over cards when there's a targeted effect waiting for a target should give them a red outline.

Figured out my issue. It seems that for what ever reason it doesn't work for me if I'm using firefox to run the game.
