Yes, Riley was exceptional at the beginning. But with the final update there was changes to her completely ruining the experience of having her as game ending choice. Why this balloons out of the sudden?
I would be happier with Harper in the end. Which ends the game earliest.
The final update was really bad in my opinion anyways. It just has been a rush to the end like a just extended Riley ending. Maybe I expected too much. Something spectacular, extraordinary or they come back as stars. Whatever. Maybe it needs to be like a Game of Thrones experience. Great on the way, sucks in the final.
Maybe I am just no real fan of multiple endings and not used to it. I don´t know. I just was very disappointed.
Are we playing the same game here? I don't know what the "complain about Riley ending" train is all about. She repeatedly says during the game that she wants to be a model and she becomes one. That was
her story and her ending was spot on. She becomes a model, she becomes hotter, she's not dependant on her sister anymore, she's not a frail little thing. Compared to some other games or games that never end (we all know which), the endings here are next to top notch. All the characters in the game get a nice story arc.
Harper - Starts shady, thief, slutty, becomes serious, falls in love, still slutty but only with the MC.
Lilly - Starts as a pretentious and spoiled girl, spends her mom's money and does whatever she wants to do. She then becomes a serious girl, gets a nice job so no more mommy money, wants to start a family and gets married.
Twins - Starts off as a sex game, they pass the MC around without him knowing. Later they fall in love and want to build a life with the MC.
Heather - Really bitchy, portraied perfectly as an evil sister early on. Turns out she actually has a condition that affects her mood swings. We get to see her bitchy, we get to see her crumble and make mistakes and we get to see her redemption and struggle in the ending. (fucking perfect) (oh and another thing, go back in the comments and see "smart" people complaining about how Heather is poorly written in earlier episodes, how she makes no sense, how the author is lame and all that hate. When in fact, he was writing her symptoms and building up her story arc.)
Maddison - Didn't really got her, seems to me like she wasn't intended to be anything more than a one night stand but the developer probably got carried away and started improvising.
Riley - Read above.
When you take the game month by month, it might seem weird and lack luster in the end. But if you play it all at once, it feels much better as you get to see the whole picture.
