Delilah is the reddest herring I have ever seen. I'm absolutely sure that she knows something about what is going on. And my working theory is that it has something to do with the company where she is doing an internship. Someone from there involved her, made her contribute to the blackmail scheme or she overheard a conversation and she is feeling extremely guilty about it. The last scene I bet is Delilah starting her personal rescue mission, likely one that makes everything worse. The fact that she went berserk on Fiona is just because she knows what is at stake. She NEEDS to be there to help Ashe or something terrible is going to happen.

These kind of games, specially while under development, are behind paywalls which make them hard to discover and to know more about before buying, even if you don't want to pirate them.
Also I prefer a conversation with whinny and entitled pirates & buyers than a circle jerk cult where you are only allowed to brown nose the boss.

A very good chance you're correct in all the main points. I think it was her other mother, Victoria, away on a business trip, that was who convinced and coerced Delilah into acting in the blackmail plot. Who else could make Delilah act against her first love, even a little? Someone else, fully loved and trusted, and known to be older and wiser.
At least that's what I'm betting on, without a better option.

Well, everyone occasionally gets sick, and computers break down. So, since both of those are vectors for creating games (humans and computers) any disruption to either will affect game development progress. They are the most likely things to happen that could affect dev goals.it is pretty funny how its literal always same story..
Now if the excuses were about joining a cult, or being kidnapped, or their dog eating their computer, doubt would be the appropriate response.
