Those are examples of Ashe being able to have no-strings-attached sex after she lost her virginity with Zoey, in a no-strings-attached sex kinda way.

And I am saying that, given how little emotional impact it had on her when she lost her virginity to Zoey, which you agreed that it is also a fling, the scene could have been easily replaced with these examples without really changing anything, and in this case the player actually has a choice.

See, I agree that Ashe and Zoey's first time is considered a fling, because it is. But no other relationship would have had that tenor. It either would have been more serious, or would have been tragic (or fucked up, or otherwise tainted). I could see Fiona and Ashe's relationship surviving them being Ashe's first hookup, but only after a lot of turmoil and hand-wringing. No one else that had an emotional bond with Ashe would have been better. You could swap in the drug dealer chick fine, but then it's just another random to get Ashe past being a virgin. Fiona, Rachel, Delilah, Mom, Kate, even any of the girls at the sorority would have been more emotionally charged and plot disruptive choices. The only way to avoid major ramifications would be to ignore them, creating odd character behaviours and worsening the quality of writing.

Ashe is still ready (at least with some of the options) to dive head first into a relationship with Fiona. Only the distance she has from her previous hangups seem to let her grudgingly accept that she needs to spread her wings more, without that ruining her friendship. Depending on your playthrough, she may have already fucked Kate, and likely gotten frisky with at least one other person, so it holds more weight.

I am not sure if you could swap Zoey that easily.

In addition to the points you made, I would also say her character is perfect to support the cuck route.

As she was her first, Ashe seems to have some special feelings for her.

But being the butterfly she is she can make Ash always feel jelous or not good enough.

That would not work as good with the other characters imho.

Okay, I should clarify and amend my statement that it had to be Zoey or someone equally emotionally detached so Ashe could have a fling, like the drug dealer (Sky?), or maybe Lexi. I don't think Kate would qualify. But if there were three options of flings the player could choose for Ashe to lose her virginity, lets say Zoey, Sky(?), and Lexi, you'd need three different scenarios for that to happen, especially at the point (right before the blackmail) it was needed for the overall plot. Which is way more work than sticking to Zoey, in that house, at that time, minutes or hours before the first blackmail message.

I don't see how you can get around that without completely upending the blackmail mystery.

But good point, I'm more of a Siren path preference person myself, but Zoey does have a way of teasing out the different paths from Ashe, like with the vid-call.

I was shocked at the poll because back when that scene was released, I remember reading a lot of comments about people complaining and pissed off about that scene...That was the reason why I was surprised to see that scene voted at #4...I never told you or anyone that everyone should have the same opinion as me

Hey everyone Good news! I managed to finish writing the initial draft of the episode ! It took quite a bit longer than initially planned, but I'm eager to finally move on to renders soon. I'll take some time this weekend to go through the whole script again and make any bigger changes if necessary. I'll also try to figure out how many renders and characters I'll have to create for this episode. So in next week's progress report you'll have some clearer numbers on where we stand and how big Ep. 6 is gonna be (spoiler: It's very big ). As usual, I'll keep fixing and polishing the script while working on the renders too. Next week I'll start making preparations for the renders. There are a bunch of new girls you'll meet at the party, and who I need to create. I also need a whole lot of background characters as well, plus turning the house into a proper party environment will take some time too. I'm not exactly sure how long this'll take, but it's gonna be more than a week, so don't expect preview images just yet. Caught up on the current version, and I still think the Cop is the Blackmailer.

The tldr of my original post about it was that out of the 3 or so possible people, she's the only one with multiple plausible ways of finding out Ashe is a Duplo. The one event for just about everyone to have found out was the sleep over, but the Cop could have found out from the first version when she frisked her. Also could have learned, or at least suspected, when she was at the gym when we were in the shower, since we saw her enter when we see her legs and towel.

She also has multiple ways and knowledge of how to track us, since she IS a cop. From the least likely, but possible, getting our medical records via a false report, to more likely stuff like knowing there's a problem with the phones (as stated by Fiona) and being a cop means there's a good chance she'd know how to exploit it.

Plus, she's already committed the crimes of stalking, blackmail, coursion, and intimidation. And if you want to use the strictly legal definition by most irl states, the crime of assault, since by criminal definition most places have it only needing to be more or less invading one's personal space in an aggressive/violent way. So it's not unlikely she'd stop there. And in regards to that final scene, while I'm not 100% sure she's the one who's going to drug our party, she does have plenty of access to contraband and confiscated drugs she could use. And she is the only character NOT named in that ending montage that could be behind this. We see all other suspects that are physically there that could do it.

Ok, I JUST though about this after my post about the Cop being the Blackmailer, but I have to post it.

If we take out motive for now, I'll come back to that, who are the ONLY TWO characters we've met that would 100% know Ashe is a Duplo? I hope I'm wrong, but here me out!

Both the mom and sister know we're a Duplo, both know who our boss is (so far the only person in our contacts that has had anything sent to them), both knew about our date night, and both could have easily have gotten that plug to us as fast as they did!

As far as motive, they both have a personal reason to target us. We confessed to Rachel and made out with her while she was drunk. the mom could be doing it as a "lesson" for us to control ourselves. And they both might blame us for our other mother's/wife's death. And if we want to go full conspiracy, they both know about the party and we didn't SEE the mom going anywhere after she walked out the door to go on a business trip that started the same day!

I so don't want this to be right, buy there is a trail there!
