Are you a supporter of the dev?
Oh yes I was a patron, but quickly realized that updates always took longer. Just like dozens of other devs who have become slower and slower (since Covid). As I said before: everyone has the right to their own opinion, especially in a pirate forum and more importantly: if you bring it across with fun instead of hate.

I'm curious about something. What exactly gives you the right to tell people what to do?
It is so easy to try to break down on a dev. Not being involved. Freeloading and annoying. So I wanted to react. This game is great. And why try to give such reactions?

Morrigan posted a poll. And we made it clear. One big update. And that is what happening right now. And Covid is soooooo long ago. That is no argument anymore. So you made it to the list. Buy beye.

Interesting. According to google, it means "First look, then whine". Given the context of your post, however, I believe the closest colloquial English expression would be "Never look a gift horse in the mouth". In other words, if you're getting something for free, don't bitch if it isn't exactly what you want would seem to be a halfway decent translation, unless I'm missing something on your side of the idiom.
The point is that people are making complaints to a developer who is not obligated to do anything for them at all.

It's weird how trans-coded this game is for a game with no actual trans women (unless there's some bit about a futa becoming a fem or vice versa or whatever, but I haven't seen that), I know duplos are "born that way" but the treatment they get is exactly like trans women.
  • Fetishization, particularly being called the "best of both worlds" and hypersexualized
  • Persecution, especially the religious kind
  • Rights movements
  • Having to hide their bodies and being really careful about nudity
  • "Coming out"
I'm not saying duplos are 1:1 with trans women; obviously this is a porn game and they're not actually representative in anything like a direct sense at least (and nothing in that list is exclusive to trans women, there's a lot of overlap with other groups—bisexual women are also called the best of both worlds, the persecution, coming out, fetishization, and rights movements are common with most queer people, and the body problems are at least shared with intersex people), it's just weird how the treatment is so similar to trans women.

Hope this doesn't get too much flak.

What is weird about it when coming of age in such an environment is the center of the narration?

I don't find it weird (kinda seems an obvious choice of theme for a futa game honestly), but you're definitely not the only one who thinks so. The developer has claimed this wasn't intentional when others have pointed it out, but it's one of the reasons I (and at least a handful of others) have connected so much with Ashe and the game on a personal level.

The themes of coming to terms with your own identity, coming out, prejudice, etc. are of course intentional. So it's not a big leap to go from that to comparable real-life issues. The only thing I said is that I don't intend to make this a 1:1 parable to the plight of trans people. Also because there are some things going on with the duplos (e.g. their biological disposition for being extra horny) that I'd find problematic to equate with any real-life counterpart.

Obviously, that doesn't mean I'll stop anyone who can strongly relate to Ashe's struggles. It's very welcome in fact :).

That was definitely not intentional.
