I guess if we want to Branch away from the Blackmailer Dilemma, I could ask what people think about the Future Harem Tag.
It sounds like this Party is going to have a lot of Branching Paths. Which is fine, don't get me wrong, but I worry about it in terms of Pathing.
I like the Harem Genre because it usually means I can Romance/Fuck everyone, or most of everyone, in just One Playthrough. One of my least favorite things to do in VNs, RPGM, Sandbox or anything else, is having to Replay an Entire Game just to nitpick different Choices. It happens in the Best Games too, the problem is just kinda universal. All of this could of course be fixed with a Skip Section Button, but I find that's almost never an Option short of just having a Save Ready and praying the Choice where you Saved isn't already Fucked up by a Prior Choice Path. Basically I don't want a my Main Save doing the Sole Rachael Path, only to have a Separate Save for the Sole Vanessa Path, and have to Skip through the All the Dialogue of the Vanessa Path JUST to weed out the Differences for having picked Vanessa.
My point is - with all the Options this Party may or may not have with the Love Interests, I hope the Choices are done in a way where I'm not Missing Out on people I don't want to Miss Out on. Eternum is a Great Example of a Well Written Harem, where once you pick the Path of All of Them, you don't Miss Out on any of their Fleshed Out Moments; they all still feel Intimate so to speak. But some Harem Games focus on the Path Itself, rather just Grouping Up all of the Scenes/Development in One Run; making it so that the Harem Route Misses Key Scenes in just say the Straight Forward Singular Path.
I hope that all makes sense. I want to be able to Romance Vanessa and Rachael down the line, potentially at this Party, without Missing Out on their Paths BECAUSE it turns into a Universal Path. Does that make sense? What are all your Thoughts?
