Yes, you have to copy them from the My Saves folder into the game/save folder. Remember that if you copy for example my save 2-1-LT1.save, when you start the game you will find it on page 2 position 1.
It's better if you copy my save to a free space of your saves or delete your 2-1 save. To copy my save to a free location for example page 8 position 5 just change the numbers of my save from 2-1 to 8-5.
You definitely missed something in the storyline. I don't know where you are in the game, try to post your save and I'll see what I can do.
You missed to have breakfast with mom at the right time of the storyline so now it's impossible to fix your save. I suggest you to use my save end version 01.

I started the game over several times and never got stuck. Of course you have to follow a storyline that the game suggests from time to time, you have to read the dialogues and never click fast, if you skip a dialogue / hint you're done! For the first three versions there is a walkthougt in the changelog, from version 0.8 I added an SOS button to the phone that step by step tells you what to do. Remember, if you get stuck it means you missed something in the storyline so reload your old save or mine and try to find what you did not do.
