...Laptop was back when he was working on OIAL. Nowadays, it's mainly PC.
And I would also expect him to use some form of cloud service to secure his work, considering it is his livelihood and a PC or hard drive doesn't exactly need the flood of a century to break. :HideThePain:

Ya know what'd make this more secure? If I were to put it on the internet! I get what you're saying and you're not necessarily wrong, but I'll just keep making my own backups, thanks. :)
On what? A personal server in the same house that is also gone in cases of a flood, fire, over current due to lightning close to the house etc.? :HideThePain:

I get it, Cloud services can have problems as well, but if he's working like half a year on an update and has terabytes of additional mods and assets for HS 2 on his drive and considering he is living from that work...I would tend to safe it somewhere else.

lets hope his computer and backups is not housed in a basement prone to flooding...

As many places as possible if you want it to be safe from loss. But that's kinda the opposite of "secure". :)

Well it's a fucking update for an adult game. And stealing intellectual property from password protected storage is an actual full blown felony in most jurisdictions. Risk vs. reward is just extremely tilted in this case. But yeah sure, you can't really protect yourself from stupid.

I hope Caribdis is safe and was not affected by the heavy storms in Spain.
"Fortunely" the storm was mostly around Valencia. At the same, unfortunely it was extremely concentrated. There was also heavy rains in Andalusia and around Albacete, but nothing as extreme as in Valencia's area.

Heavy rains on that are aren't that uncommon, in 57 also a big flood existed there, and even changed the course of the river. As long he doesn't live in Valencia and near the river ( ) he should be fine. This event is called .

The Duck was also from Spain, although from the north I believe.

What's even more surprising is how extreme the phenomenon is. I mean, sure I live on the country aside, but it was full sun from yesterday till lunch time of today. It isn't THAT far away to be so different. Not even a single cloud. Meanwhile I have friends in Zaragoza and Barcelona and they say the rain is still quite heavy, although not as extreme as in Valencia fortunely.

Heavy rains usually happen, but it bothers me that Europe is having so many events of these. First in Slovenia, then in Poland, also in Italy, and now in Spain. So many of these in the same year isn't usual at all.

Anyway not only for Caribdis, but I hope everyone out there is safe.

forget about Caridbiis , what about his LAPTOP he can lose all the progress of tthe next UPDATE !!!!!!
As much as I'm a big fan of dark humour, with all due respect I believe it's too soon. Number of victims is still increasing at this very moment.

Illusion. Actually since the company closed, I have no idea who's the actual owner of the IP.

Yeah, we had a tromba de agua (like a very small water tornado) in Barcelona, and very heavy rains all day. They sent us home by noon at my workplace, and authorities in the province recommended people not travel.

It's very worrying the amount of extreme weather phenomena that are happening all around the Mediterranean, which used to have a very calm climate.

That's great news, thanks for sharing.
