Eternum is never milking, because there's never teasing for the sake of teasing.
If I'm not mistaken, Caribdis already said it probably won't be in November. Personally I don't care, as long the game continues to be great as usual. I much rather wait for a quality content than a rushed product.Cari has already said that November won't happen (he's secretly aiding the NNN goers ), but he'll try to release the first tier before Christmas.
His cliffhangers at the end of each release are a type of teasing though.Eternum is never milking, because there's never teasing for the sake of teasing.
Can't argue with that.I much rather wait for a quality content than a rushed product.
I'd say they are more like a type of torture than teasing...His cliffhangers at the end of each release are a type of teasing though.
Yeah I guess literally everyone here wants to play. The difference is that some understand quality takes time, others have no clue about the effort of developing a game and start to cry about milking. Can't argue with that.
although the wait sometimes takes time, the desire to play a new update is too high!
Maybe yes, maybe not. I recall that he had to slowdown a bit to avoid burnout. Even myself and others started to say that, due how fast his updates were, specially taking into account the amount of content they already had.As far as we know this will be the largest update yet, so it kinda makes sense that it also takes the longest. Also the further we get in the story, the more permutations Cari has to follow through on, even if it is a relatively linear game. So yeah...development time per update will likely rise for the next updates.
Considering that one of the servers that we'll be visiting is likely Andromeda (based on the batch of sneaks preceding the latest one), it's likely that the choices we've made back in 0.4 and 0.6 (iirc one of the survivors in the Collector whodunit said to look for them in Andromeda) are going to affect whatever happens there. As far as we know this will be the largest update yet, so it kinda makes sense that it also takes the longest. Indeed, you should ask for a refund.LMAO and people say the milking hasn't begun
I hope Eternum doesn't begin to branch hugely into different paths because it will take forever for future updates. I am happy with the perfectly well-written linear storyline.Considering that one of the servers that we'll be visiting is likely Andromeda (based on the batch of sneaks preceding the latest one), it's likely that the choices we've made back in 0.4 and 0.6 (iirc one of the survivors in the Collector whodunit said to look for them in Andromeda) are going to affect whatever happens there.
But other than the choice of survivor in the Collector whodunit, the Ekabar choice likely affecting the Great Hunt event, and the Amulet of Blair and Polyjuice being Chekov's guns that will fire later on, there's not much branching path that's likely going to affect the outcome of the main narrative (other than the Amulet tho that's more of a bad ending waiting to happen) nor something that can't be solved by mere change of dialogue or a few differing renders.
Of course, that might change in this upcoming update, especially if said update is going to lean heavily into advancing the main story in a big way and provide branching choices and such.
Iirc Cari mentioned on Discord that harem end is only unlocked if ALL of the girls' paths are active. So if you lose one, then no harem end for you.The only thing I can see causing confusion with this is the harem route. Will Cari have to think of all the different possible harem combinations based on people being on and off particular ladies' paths?
You have the dialogue scenes that can differ for each of the LI's depending on you being on their path or not. This usually works quite well on a per-path basis for large parts of the game, until the harem becomes more and more official. According to Cari this will be earlier than in OiaLT, so that would normally lead to more potential scene variations.I hope Eternum doesn't begin to branch hugely into different paths because it will take forever for future updates. But you also have some smaller choices and changes depending on what path the player is and all of them need at least a small cover-up, changes in dialogue and so on and those pile up even in a mostly linear game like Eternum.Considering that one of the servers that we'll be visiting is likely Andromeda (based on the batch of sneaks preceding the latest one), it's likely that the choices we've made back in 0.4 and 0.6 (iirc one of the survivors in the Collector whodunit said to look for them in Andromeda) are going to affect whatever happens there.

Ah sweet, so a kind of "all or nothing" which only results in two paths: harem route or non-harem route.Iirc Cari mentioned on Discord that harem end is only unlocked if ALL of the girls' paths are active. So if you lose one, then no harem end for you.
working harder on the game = milking.LMAO and people say the milking hasn't begun
And by that logic, the correct thing to do for a dev in order to not be milking is to work as little as possible. No, wait...working harder on the game = milking.
Actually the correct response is to "ghost" everyone. And NO updates. And by that logic, the correct thing to do for a dev in order to not be milking is to work as little as possible. No, wait...
that is a logic i really can't follow... why?working harder on the game = milking.
I assumed he was being sarcastic, though.that is a logic i really can't follow... why?
