And some of them take 7+ months for a barely ok update with sometime filler, i take any day a honey select game with proper story than a majestic graphic vn with so-so story (and rushed ending which seems to be happening with a more than a few games that started great..)
I agree. Just look at Midnight Paradise. Great render but the story and gameplay meh.
There is a lot dev trying the easy way out

A lot of developers probably underestimate the importance of a good storyline since it's "only" adult/porn content. When I found this forum I was also just looking for an alternative to the usual adult sites, but before long I found the standard landlady simulators pretty boring and now I'm more interested in the plot than anything else.

Also, a good storyline is not something so easy to write. It takes some damn specific competence and even that sneaky virtue of a good inspiration. It's not like "i set those parameters for rendering, so i get this level of quality, and i set a good story rather then a lame one". Both aspects take their own set of skills and expertise. And even if a dev has a good story in mind, actually deploying it is a tricky business, because you need to deal with the right pace, make the characters likeable, even the antagonists, and write good dialogs. Sure not easy.
Now i don't know what kind of staff Caridbis has and how the competences are split, or if he works alone, but so far he menaged to excel under every expect of the game making process. No wonder he's accomplished here.
Hi guys, played this game and have so much fun. Nice atmosphere and characters design, interesting story. Anyone can give me advice how to find tracks, used in 18+ scenes? in love with this music and voice of a singer.

Do people generally prefer Daz3D over Honey Select? Personally I find most Daz3D models very unappealing since they have this dead look to their expressions in still images. I actually didn't play vns with 3D renders like this at all for the longest time, because the first ones I tried were Daz3D and I thought all of them were like that.

I generally prefer HS to Daz. Most of my favorite games are made with HS ('cause I like the HS style).
Also I think it is easier to fuck up your images with Daz. Can still happen with HS but that has to be almost intentional
But both have crappy looking games and awesome looking games depending on experience and commitment of the dev(s).

I certainly don't, I don't care what the graphics are made with as long as the story is interesting. If I want to see sex scenes that are as real as possible, I'd rather go to the hub anyway.
If I had the choice of what a developer uses, I would probably choose HS for selfish reasons, because updates from HS productions usually take less time and are larger than when DAZ is used.

I prefer whoever can do a good job with the program they have chosen. I have seen amazing work in Daz and Honey Select and absolute crap in both. A skilled creator can make a good game in whatever platform they are skilled at using, just like I would make a complete trainwreck out of any of them

Another masterpiece came from you Caribdis your game before give me a laugh with story and the character especially fit Jack and stabby Mike all the girls were beautiful and cute too.but this one is another level it is a masterpiece in my opinion I really love the character and the story is hilarious too but in all character that you put in eternum I really love the design of all female characters but besides them I think my non female characters favourite is Raul and noah

Poor Chang, started out looking like the #1 non-MC male, and is now overshadowed by a couple of thugs and a Dad character!

Yeah you're right I totally forgot about Luna dad. man that scene really caught me off guard and Luna server also give some chilling vibe after I was done with her investigation mission I was like "did I really just play a porn VN game or a horror game" like I say in my opinion Caribdis really pull another masterpieceThey're probably my fav non-female as well, although Mr. Hernandez is running close behind.

Well! I just finished the content available... And I can confidently say, after playing this and Once in a Lifetime, there isn't a single developer that can even touch Caribdis toenails.
The difference, the gap, the absolute canyon that exists between Caribdis and the second best dev, whoever that maybe, is so enormous that we cannot measure it.
Holy. Fuck.
I'm talking about Character Design, Setting Design, Background Design, Sound Design, Animations, Character Personalities, Character Backstories, Humour, Light-heartedness, Stressfree.
It's absolutely insane. The amount of high quality work put into this... I can only say thank you.
