Yeah, I don't think Cari would have much problems coming from steam, especially since there will be no incest. The problem is the models are done in Honey Select 2 and that doesn't have a commercial license that would allow you to sell a game made with HS (2) models.

I know, but this last chapter all of a sudden started addressing polyamory, moved heavily toward endgame progression (for the first time, many mysteries are solved without too many new ones), and the sex scenes are accelerating greatly. It's structurally not the same Eternum that 0.1-0.7 was, and more pornographic in tone of course. Kind of like in Once in a Lifetime when the Japan trip was the beginning of the end where things really started being a fuckfest

Even College Kings, for all its criticism and shitty reputation of just being a mindless fuckfest, has a "skip sex scenes" button. Up until this point in Eternum, the sex scenes haven't taken too much away, but this is the first update where I am starting to feel the wee bit of contrivance in setting up these scenarios where spontaneous sex can occur.

Sucks that this is just what comes with the genre. It's the fault of nobody but my own desires.

You finally feel now like you're playing a porno that happens to have a really good story, which does unfortunately detract from the immersion. Nothing will recapture the sheer wonder and magic of Eternum 0.1-0.4. But that's ok, irl nothing recaptures the wonder and magic of childhood.

I'll always love Eternum, but I do mourn the inevitable direction it has to turn now.

I can´t disagree with anything here, for a long time Eternum was much bigger in lore than sex, but as you said, it´s inevitable that the game progresses to being a lot more sex with lore here and there. And that´s kind of expected, as the characters become more comfortable with each other and don´t need specific events or excuses to have sex. Since they all love him and he loves them, they can just do it because they like eachother. And honestly, can we really complain with the sex scenes this game had so far? More, I say!!

After finishing the update, here´s some thoughts.

- First, the lewd scenes: Alex won, as far as I am concerned. So far in this game, this woman is unbeatable.
- Next is Dalia´s scene. It would be a rough fuck at any time, but is particularly rough when it´s her first time. Throatfucked, at least 4 orgasms, hammers down Orion and then gets plowed into the ground. All good to me.
- At number 3, I have Annie´s. Sweet as you´d expect from her, since her and Luna always seemed like the shy ones of the group. Wasn´t expecting her to go for seconds, but when you´re hungry, you have to eat.
- And at number 4, maybe surprisingly, is the Nancy-Nova threesome. Maybe because of the circumstances they were in (they couldn´t stay there for long) or maybe because it was too much work, but I ended up a bit disappointed. I guess I was expecting Orion to take more turns with them. Nothing that upcoming updates can´t fix, as I´m confident they will.

Now the story part:
- In regards to real life, great strides were made towards the harem. Nancy pushing Nova into it, Alex and Dalia seem to be already down for something with eachother and even Annie said she didn´t want to loose Orion. There´s plenty of love to go around and Nancy is going to take care of the "annoying" parts, which leaves Orion with the job of just enjoying them all.
- In regards to Eternum, we got another Gem of Doom, making it 3; thanks to all-mighty Annie and surprising Jerry, the xenomorph hunt to get us another Gem is going very well in our favor; and turns out Calypso kingdom is actually a real place in Eternum and not some mumbo-jumbo that the Eternum devs put in her head to have some lore.

I feel Callypso´s kingdom is a place that´s actually shut off from Eternum but still inside the game, and the players can´t go in or find by themselves, the NPC´s from that place have to bring you there. Also, Callypso clearly has powers she probably didn´t know about, otherwise the dimeritium would have worked on her like before.
I also think Orion is a human/NPC hybrid now and Callypso used data from Eternum to heal Orion at the expanse of one of his bodies.

Now, a question: when Orion is the real world, does he have the superpowers he has inside Eternum or those just manifest inside the game?
Dalia and Nova went to Eternum with their real bodies. If they had died, would that be it for them or would a NPC of them take their place?


Sorry for the long text, probably something is wrong in there, but at the time I´m writing this, this is what I think. Might change later.
I guess the next update will come out around August, right? Can we just skip to there? It´s going to be a long wait, again.

This would depend if 0.9 is going to tackle the pending Carter Ski Trip or not. If it does, the only way Alex/Dalia would be viable is IF the latter or Orion is able to convince her to join the trip. If the event doesn't happen then yeah, sky's the limit as to what the 4th scene will be (IF there is a 4th scene).

If she doesn't join the trip, I can see Nan/Annie potentially happening instead, with Nan bringing Annie to the harem fold just like how she did it with Nova during the Pirate server trip.

Considering there's 5 more chapters to go (assuming Cari sticks with the currently planned 13 total chapters and not truncate it again to speed things up), I'm guessing the lore dump we're going to get will only cover the stuff Caly mentioned plus possibly some additional info on Anima and the Eldari (plus some stuff that will possibly link Idriel and Anima that will fly over Orion's head). The ten gems too and some foreshadowing on Orion's deteriorating state (which he is still going through, if the color of his nails are any indication), but that would depend if there's any knife-ears who's old enough to recognize what they really are (cause Caly sure doesn't, and that's either because she's too young to know or her time in that prison box reaaaaally messed her memories big time).

Lore on Idriel, the Syndicate, the Weapons of Atlas and the current state of Eternum will probably have to wait until a chapter or two before the finale. I feel like the "Idriel is Anima/Psyche" reveal will serve as a good cliffhanger ending in one of the chapters, followed by an infodump explaining what the hell is really going on with Eternum (and maybe a reveal on what the Founder really wants to do with the gems). Not sure how that will be brought into the story though given that Orion doesn't exactly stay in Limbo for long. Maybe something else will trigger it (like the letter given by the Syndicate, perhaps). We'll see, I suppose.
