This argument isn't valid no matter the games, it's even less in Eternum. In Eternum you can feel the sensations of things like in real life, so much so that they are people who will confuse both. It's totally a possibility (and a high one) that if someone accomplish his pulsions in Eternum, they will try it in the real world.Except we don't even know if its an actual child, we don't know if every NPC is like Thanatos and is an actual person turned into an NPC. The MC admits this.
If the child NPC truly is simply lines of code then I don't see anything wrong with doing whatever you want to it. Because then it's not an actual person, it's just an object.
More to the point, is that the other playing was saying all the common arguments people make in favor of taboo erotic fiction. "It's not real", "I wouldn't do this in real life", "It's just lines of code". The Developer is throwing stones in a glass house if he's implying that those arguments hold no merit.
It's in the OP under "Savefixer"thank you for you replies....can you give me a link for the sancho save fixer
Oof... the scene with the player and the little boy NPC. Did the game dev get his knickers in a twist over people wanting lewd scenes for flashback characters?
The player had a point. As far as he knows the NPC is just lines of code, seems a little vindictive to kill him.

I'm not HS2 dev but I can tell you that HS2 Studio is a and even more gigantic pain in the ass than MC's cock even though it's powerful as hell...like MC's cockProlly a HS2 thing. She's supposed to be old, right? Luna's Grandma also has the same issue, IIRC...
(Haven't used HS2 but I'm assuming that all female models likely share the same skin texture (any HS2 dev out there correct me if I'm wrong lol) so I can see how making an old lady can be quite the struggle if the aging morpher is just barebones and shite...)
Dev: Look, I just want a female character that looks like an authentic old person. Is that too hard?
HS2: Got it. We'll just deepen the laugh lines and add a little something on her cheeks and eyebags and call it a day.
Dev: ಠ_ಠ
The argument is valid for every game that deals solely with fictional characters. There's no proof that it will lead to real life action. Also I'd like to remind everyone that we're on a website that allows loli porn. This argument isn't valid no matter the games, it's even less in Eternum. And Idriel too, yes.Can we all agree though that Calypso is most definetly not an NPC
Well she's clearly not an NPC she's the Princess of the Sy-tel-quessir and the Daughter of Raewyn, THE Princess of Hyril'ar (I think by now it is quite obvious she's not an NPC or a "code")Can we all agree though that Calypso is most definetly not an NPC
I mean, Nova had a full scene in 0.5 and an unannounced mini-scene in 0.6. By all accounts she's kinda cheating, so having her date be skipped from 0.7 and into 0.8 would be understandable.
If you want to keep the object view, let's try something else then. If NPC are objects then they are public objects, they are not objects that you can do anything you want with them. Damaging them is vandalism, and damaging certain public objects will receive worse punishment than others. Since NPC looks like humans, they will have basically the same balance of judgement than in our world in how we judge crime against the age of the victim. A rapist who rape an adult is a big piece of shit, a rapist of children is an even worse piece of shit. The argument is valid for every game that deals solely with fictional characters. As for whether that'd hold true for a really immersive game like Eternum, well, we don't have evidence either way. Regardless, I still pity the guy because from his perspective there is no reason for him to believe that the NPCs are any more than lines of code, objects that don't exist in the real world.

Here the punishment is that the player lost his levels and items that he acquired. Quite a light punishment in reality because he can just have a fresh restart, he wasn't denounced to Praetorians who could have excommunicated him.
Take a bigger scale than between 2 figurines, if one is a figurine the other one is a statue. Well here in this situation they are both statue since they are public objects, but one of them is recognised as a cultural heritage statue. The red text does not follow. No matter what an object looks like it's still just an object. If I smash a figurine of a loli with a hammer, it holds no more weight than if I had smashed a figurine of an adult fictional character. The value of objects is in their monetary value and/or artistic value. More to the point "vandalism" clearly ain't the moral conundrum the Dev was emphasizing in the event.
Considering the MC himself has gone against the Praetorians, "doing something against the rules" clearly isn't something considered immoral. It seems, to me at least, that the message is "this is wrong even when done to purely fictional characters". Which, again, is the Dev throwing stones in a glass house.
Tying this into the prior discussion, what if Calypso at first can't maintain a form in our world so she has to possess someone. Then, in a way, it could be a Getrude scene & Calypso scene at the same time. Everybody wins!...If she ever gets a side girl scene I am so blaming you and Pitrik for willing that shit into existence. DX

(j/k there's a big chance that Nova's going to be the "Alex" of next patch so I'm already foreseeing it to be a rapture-tier event for members of the Church of Nova)
